Thank you so much for sharing this. It does at least confirm that there is no hard cut at 15 hz, using ARC genisys, which is awesome.
I didn't watch the complete video, but by my read/analysis of the image at 18m09s showing before vs. after curves in this video:
not only does ARC genisys (at least in this AM90) room correction not work below ~15Hz, it also looks to have already applied a steep reduction in output by 15Hz as well.
This would not surprise me because I'd assume they know what they are doing and from my perspective reproducing ultrasonic and infrasonic content in audio not only is unproductive to what we hear,
even with ultrasonic and infrasonic capable playback systems playing content containing ultrasonic and infrasonic sound, but it is detrimental to the sound quality of the important audible range content we
do care about, for several reasons including the potential creation of intermodulation distortion. [Details and backing references upon request.]
Also to reiterate what I wrote earlier, for reliable results evaluating/measuring what electronics like ARC genisis do should ideally be done
directly (electrically) not be done acoustically
after additionally passing the signal through the modifications of power amps, loudspeakers/subs, room acoustics, varying mic selections/placements/aimings, in non-anechoic (non-soundproof) rooms potentially contaminated with background sounds which we may not
be consciously aware of (because they may fall below our detection thresholds for those frequencies but not necessarily that of the test mic's).
