I had some good news yesterday. The shop dug around their parts drawer and found the other springs I need so I should have my shifters back next week. I cannot wait. It is a mix of Campy record, chorus and new carbon centaur cranks and derailleur. The record shifters are the oldest and have 10000 miles on them so they were in desperate need of work.

I'm at almost the same weight. I'm dropped about 15 in the last few weeks. I'd like to go down another 20 then I may actually be fast. I went out with the race group last night and I did ok and at least I did not leave my lunch on the road.

The race we put on this past weekend went very well. We had over 200 racers and a decent size pro field.

If you want to do the Iron Man race out here next year in Lake Placid I can put you and the family up.

Thanks for the gracious invitation! I'd be all over that if it wouldn't take me 4 days to do an IM. I am planning on doing the KS70.3 next year. I went there this year and made googly eyes with Chrissie Wellington. She is so nice, it's not even funny.

Anyway, you would have really like the Pinarello Dogma I had for a couple of weeks. Had Super Record 11 on it, and that was the first time I'd ever used Campy for any length of time. I loved it's operation on the front derailleur, but kinda still like my SRAM Rival with doubletap for the rear. Otherwise that bike was pretty awesome. It better be for 11g.

And yes, Alex, I'm going to leave the doubletap sentence for all the non-bikers in this thread.

I just sent a PM to this guy, because I want to try to make him regret ever offering the statement below. :p:p:p

I'm trying to figure out if this is the place he owns, and I did read something about 85 people showing up for WC soccer, but I don't see anything about a movie theater.

This is all above and beyond. You're drinking free at rebar - forever.

Wish me luck. :D:D

You better try buttering him up with some rep first. You know how people love rep. Maybe if I rep him on your behalf he will actually pay you to drink there. I'll thunk him on the forehead with my monster rep hammer ... just say the word. :D

Thanks, but let's wait. :D We can both rep him after he fulfills his promise to me. :p:p

This isn't real life?!

Nah, dude. Real life is a Saturday afternoon cookout with some people you might like to meet waiting for the the tequila to be broken out wondering who brought the sombrero for the Mexican Hat Dance. Real life is eating the worm and trying not to hit your new friends with the technicolor scream ... that would be rude. :)

Thanks! Here I was thinking that this was real life...

I see ... yeah, I guess that qualifies as real life. If you can get Walter to come out and help you haul your sub upstairs then you will have realized the mixing of this and that. Rent one of those soogin' hand trucks with a stair climber and talk him into spending a few hours away from work. :)

Didn't I see this on a Sienfield episode?
