I don't think that I could pull off raising chickens in my back yard.

I know this is old, but I'm slow..

Maybe you could start with vegetables. They're not loud or messy like chickens.
I have done some container gardening and have been very happy with the results. And my thumb is not green at all. It's more of a br...Well anyway here's the link.

Seeds of Change Homepage....

They have seeds, raised beds, and tools.

This may help with you wanting to shop local.

I'm hungry... Would it be a good idea to wake up the wife and ask her to make me breakfast?

I am the egg man. Cheryl has figured out that it is only a matter of time before I cook something. I hate it when somebody has my number like that. Record low since my record high is down 14.2 pounds. I just scarfed down 3 whole eggs and two whites fried in olive oil with bread to celebrate. I'm pretty stoked about this weight loss business but in all honesty it takes me a few days to catch up to my record low as a constant day in day out weight. I'm really looking forward to getting below 260 but that could take until March.

Niki and I drove down to pick up our meat and eggs. They were only giving people half as many eggs as they ordered (I guess production is low). Dang. I should have ordered more and then gotten what I wanted. The eggs where the thing that I was most excited to get. Oh, well. I still have twelve to enjoy. :)

The dog bones were a surprise. I'm used to getting marrow bones, so I figured that's what these would be. Nope. These are huge. They aren't bones - they are chunks of cow. Bone, meat, fat - huge. I thought that I'd be okay giving her a bone that hadn't been cooked, but I'm not so sure about something with so much meat and fat on it. We'll see.

Ought oh. I got the eggs mostly for Niki, and she really likes them. So, what's the problem, you ask? I only have nine eggs left, the farm that I got them from this morning won't be back for a month. I might crumble and get some at the grocery store.

Just yesterday, a buddy at work said that he and his wife are seriously considering raising chickens and wondered if I'd be interested in buying any eggs. That would be sweet!

Never in my life have I ever thought to myself that I wished I had eaten more of the vegetables.

I wish that I was hungry, but I'm not. Stupid eggs and their protein.

Maybe I'll power through and munch on some M&Ms.

Celery, hummus, turkey and 9 almonds for fat in a carb/protein/fat gram ratio of 9:7:1.5 did the job. Hey ... it's called the boring thread for a reason. Deal with it.

Watched TV,ate some food.Went for a drive. Going to have hot chocolate and bed.Hows that for boring?
