whaddya expect? AC/DC only plays about 7 or 8 different songs from his perspective. Oh sure, they have a catalog with 100's of recorded songs on albums. But if you break them down, there's only about 7 or 8 actual songs from his point of view. Rinsed and repeated six ways from Sunday. The poor drummer is probably bored to tears or deafened by the lead guitar amps years ago. I don't know how any of them still have their hearing. After each concert, even with protection, I know my hearing was seriously addled for a couple of days.

I recommend you guys check out the Tower Records documentary called All Things Must Pass (a Colin Hanks film). Really took me back, I spent a lot of time at Tower Records San Francisco and Hollywood in the 70s....

Will have to check that out.

Lol, that's funny. As a drummer, I know it's hard to beat(lol) a simple back beat on a classic rock song but man... Yeah, I think they're all probably deaf by now, but they definitely earned it lol. The thing I can't figure out is how Brian Can sing that high with such a gravelly voice. Crazy!!!

Another video I watched recently that has some relevance to this thread (and the inspiration for the Marvin Gaye selection I just posted) is the "I Am My Music" episode of the PBS series "Soundbreaking" which is about the various listening formats and evolution thereof, very good watch.

I remember the vibe with regard to studio efforts and what they were accomplishing there, especially before computers. That was part of the allure. As long as they had a pretty good show of talent in their live efforts. Half of why we went to concerts.

I'm using Spotify, they have a bunch of his stuff. Lined up this one a few other albums....Chill & Lounge Tales and World Fusion Tales and another one called Hypnosis. So far agree nice sounding recordings, trippy sounds abound. Good find, thanks!
