You do know that a tariff is a tax that a government levy on imports? So you claim that US pay other countries the tax they impose on imports to their own country?

Like say Mexico, where a foothold can be placed. Here (USA)like citizens selling land to communist countries with nuclear bases not too far away. Communist, policing others and of those like kinds. Now I'm not adverse to posting links or articles to back up anything I'm saying. True, but they wouldn't ship it if there was no demand. Let's see what happens if the Southern US border slows the flow- I suspect smugglers will be coming in via the Atlantic and from the North. The US will be screwed if the price of lumber goes back to the way it was during COVID. We use A LOT of lumber that comes from Canada.
