Yeah, when Hartley lined up for that kick, I kept saying, "Don't pull a Kaeding. Don't pull a Kaeding." You know why Hartley nailed that kick? John Carney. Good to see him on the sideline. I miss having him as our kicker. Carney almost never missed.

Yeah, I agree 100%! But sometimes it is warranted. Some really bad officiating imho. I am sure it will be brought up quite a bit.

Yeah, that's tough. The first thought that came to mind was to borrow from basketball's recent set of rules regarding flagrant fouls. Level 1 and Level 2. Perhaps a 5 yard penalty for the Level 1. I'm just blurting out.
Right, but it just seemed a bit over the top during this game. Maybe I am wrong, but it sure seemed that way to me. After all, anything can happen in any given game.
They used to have those in football for face masks, the 5 and 15 yard variety... but it ended up being too subjective of a call. Football has too many players and moves much too quickly to have different levels of calls. I don't like that ticky tack stuff gets a 15 yard penalty, but it's better than a referee trying to determine intent.

Who gives a crap if Peyton has beaten Rivers? They've played twice, and in both games Rivers played relatively mediocre and was bailed out by special teams (kickoff and punt returns for TDs in the first game) or the game was won on the strength of the running game. Not exactly a relevant sample size here...

Still the QB favoritism has been happening all season long. It's the NFLs fault not the refs. The Refs are being yelled at to protect the QB at all costs. I really just want a consistent call. Give a certain time limit or something.
