So - time to start with predictions??

I'm picking Indy by 10. I think the game will be similar to this one, but Peyton is more disciplined than Favre, and the Colts do not fumble away the ball. It will be reasonably high scoring, but Indy has a decent defense.

Either way, it should be close throughout and hopefully will be very entertaining.
Should be a good game,
I'll take N.O. by 3 points.

Even though I was going for the Vikings, I am glad for the people of NO after all the BS these people went through. Congrats! Enjoy the high!

Boy the Saints punished Bret.... He was a broken man.
I'll predict this was his last game. I think he's spent now. What year by Favre...amazing. One of the best as well as the toughest QB to play this game.

I can't imagine Favre playing more than another year at most. His age really seemed to show IMO in this game. Oddly, he seemed really tired beforehand, I thought. I guess last week was hard on him.

Brett Favre cost the Minnesota Vikings the game with that decision and terrible pass.

I think I actually went into cardiac arrest twice. Then I tore my vocal cords when Hartley nailed that kick. I've never screamed like that in my life.

Un freaking believable. It still hasn't quite sunk in yet.

As for Favre, I think he's done. He got slammed so many times tonight, and his wife definitely did not look happy about it.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. He should never have thrown that one. He was in a lot of pain and not thinking clearly at all at the end.

IMO he should have tucked that ball away, and ran like he has never ran before. One of the biggest games, plays, and moments, in his life, and career.

Now he has to live with the fact he blew it.

If this is his last game. What a way to leave.

That's Favre. That's always been Favre.

Course, it might not have been so close if the Saints D had actually fallen on those first two fumbles. Vilma showed them how it was done later when he recovered Berrian's fumble.

I don't think so. The 12 men in the huddle penalty really killed them. Even with the 5 yard penalty there they could have run the ball and kicked a long field goal. If the pass was incomplete the field goald was low % and if it was completed, it would have been really close to spike the ball before the time run out. Now way Brett Favre cost them the game.

And if he does that no way he gets out of bounds, especially with his limp leg. It would lead to the same outcome...overtime.

I totally don't agree with this. Yes that penalty was costly. But not as costly or impacting as that interception that Brett threw. Brett could have picked up 5-10 years by running the ball and given the kicker a chance to win. With his bad decision to pass the ball into tight coverage, and throwing across the field. He cost the Vikings a chance to kick for the win.

That would have run the clock. How would he get out of bounds? If he didn't get out of bounds there would be no way they could stop the clock.
