How close are we to WWIII?

Trump had no intention of honoring it. Trump signed it to buy time and steal from Peter to pay Paul when it comes to missiles. taking supplies from other theaters and to make more money on the stock market. Trump gives a SFA for economies of the US and her Allies.

The US will not win this war because they have no strategy. They put a former Fox News employee as chief of defense. Yep Hegseth. Seriously qualified for the job? Umm no. And Trump and his MAGA rodeo clowns got rid of all the competent leadership in both the military and intelligence agencies.
Funny you mention that. I was watching Malcolm Nance say this is the most incompetent military leadership he's seen. He'd have all kinds of warships at the strait.

It's also reported per Mario Nawfal that Israel sent a message to Washington to bomb Iran's power plants to break the stalemate. Nance stated Iran would likely go after desalination. Iran has also brought in the idea of cutting cable wires in the sea to cut off telecommunications.

It doesnt have to go to this far if Trump just honored the MOU and muzzled his attack dog, Netanyahu.

A lot of the advisors are gone, which is why is his second term is worse than his first term.

No Trump wasn't going to honor the MOU, but with a signature I imagine that means Iran does not have honor it either. They basically have Trump by the balls. About all Trump can do now is use force. Israel isn't gonna step down till things get even worse. The UAE etc would have to step in and force them out.

I imagine some will read that and say Iran has to give us Oman, which from Iran's perspective I find silly because this is part of a 14 point plan.

5. Upon the signing of this MoU, the Islamic Republic of Iran will make arrangements using its best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels, with no charge for 60 days only, from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman, and vice versa. The traffic of commercial vessels will immediately start, and considering the need for removing the technical and military obstacles, and de-mining by the Islamic Republic of Iran, will be instated within 30 days. The Islamic Republic of Iran will conduct dialogue with the Sultanate of Oman, to define the future administration and maritime services in the Strait of Hormuz, in discussions with other Persian Gulf Littoral States, in line with applicable international law and the sovereign rights of coastal states of the Strait of Hormuz.

I've heard now of an assassination plot with the aim of Netanyahu trying to get Trump to hit Iran harder LOL. I just see desperation. Or the losers in news like the guy saying they should nuclear bomb Iran. I don't think Iran is good, but I do believe you have to respect your enemies. The hawks on the right don't. Look at the zeros crying about the strait. Iran wasn't f--king around. In that regard it's kind of admirable. A steadfast commitment and preparation for this very moment. I'm not going to say Iran will win in the end. They wanna drip this thing out for as long as they can. Again the discipline is rather admirable IMO, and they sure are making us look stupid.

Also where one commenter said he felt Iran went too far by bombing the tankers during the funeral. D'oh! They turned off their transponders. Yeah Iran is just gonna let them through. Such a stupid argument.

Now they're bombing Bahrain, Jordan etc. They might get the Houthis to block the channel to the east (though don't remember the name of it). If there's any doubters I wish they would understand Iran isn't f--king around.

I agree. Im not a fan of the Iran regime but they show far more discipline and honor than the Trump's US. Iran is sticking to the MOU and I feel that Iran signed knowing full well that Trump's US is just a bunch of f'in liars with no honor nor self respect.....

The Iranians followed the MOU until yesterday when Iran declared they're pulling out of the MOU.

Well today Trump ordered heavy bombing of the Strait and now with the blockade in place he's charging 20% for the US's services to secure free passage. Trump said along the lines of being the "Guardian of the Strait of Hormuz" and "security guarantor." Bold and powerful words, but in the end it reminds of what happens after I have a spicy burrito. :p It all feels like Trump attempting to rebrand himself as this powerful strongman even though before this war there was no 20% that I'm aware of. In my view it not quite making sense makes sense in the Trump years.

Well it sounds like the Houthis are or have retaliated against the Saudis, which essentially means what I heard in the strait of bab el could be closed. Malcolm says that and Hormuz would equal 30-35% of traffic flow. The thing I fear is who we're f--king with: Iran, who would love to see this whole thing escalate via proxy.

Trump is going to be fondly remembered for being the 2nd president in US history after Hoover to cause a depression. Not just a US depression but a world wide depression. Both Trump and Iran have the Strait closed now and the strategic oil reserves in the US are getting to a point of being almost unusable. Trump's ego will cause this world wide depression and Iran knows this.

Trump better think carefully about going after Iran's civilian and energy infrastructure because if he does, Iran will wipe clean, all energy, helium, natural gas, and fertilizer production in the middle east. Its going to drive the world back into the dark ages. Can's somebody just shoot the dumfuk??

I also dont understand why Trump is getting all bent up about his possible assassination. After all, he's assassinated Iran's leadership and family members so I think turn about here is fair play here. The toddler needs to learn a lesson. ;)

I don't know why Saudi Arabia resorted to this dumber than dumb moves. They could have launched fighters and revectored the plane to the unused airbase. Logically this fits the paradigm "One has to be tough to be stupid"

It's odd the Saudis would attack a Yemen airplane of delegates that if I heard correctly was attending the funeral of Kohmeini. According to Nance, the Houthis smoked the Saudis in their previous war and had been trying to create better relations since. Axios reported Trump supported the Saudi MBS in this attack and said he has their back should the Houthis retaliate. The Houthis have attacked two Saudi airports since, and Larry Johnson said you can expect a third to be attacked. I'm guessing Trump wanted to attack first due to concern the Houthis will close the channel. The Saudis had paid Iran not to attack them during this war, so instead attacking the Yemen airplane how does that do anything good for keeping the channel open?
