Handshaking between 1.3 devices are extremely good, hence I guess why they have auto lip sync correction. That's something else to consider.

I'm thinking about getting it as well. The 4X1 has a Equalizer for HDMI boosting. I wonder how well that works for us with projectors.

Did you update the firmware on the Samsung 1400? Without the new firmware update, you aren't bitstreaming the lossless codec.

Unless you have Samsung 1400 Blu-ray player. you won't get DTS HD. It's the only Blu-ray that seems to pass DTS MA to the receiver.

When I had my Pioneer 1015, I never used the THX modes. To me, they just added another layer of crap on top. The natural surround field always sounded more clearer than any THX mode.

I own Blu-ray because of PS3, but I don't care if Blu-ray loses and HD DVD wins. I have 9 Blu-rays but I only buy the must have titles.
