Ugh! I was hoping that If I hung a thick blackout curtain all along the wall, that might prevent sound from going through.

I would suggest a pair of Outlaw M2200 Monoblocks. Auto turn on, and 200w. They also have balanced inpputs in case you want to use them in the future.

I saw this in the theaters. What a waste of money and time. How a piece of crap like this ever got greenlighted is beyond me.

So, would I be gaining anything by going with the 402 over the 202? My equipment is in my sig. Room is medium at best.

I find that list curious. The Crown XLS 202 is listed at 200w @ 8ohm stereo. But it isn't certified, while the 402 is. I can think of many 100w+ (less than 200w) Home amps (Rotel, Parasound, Marantz) that have THX Ultra cert.

The 247 and 347 does. Keep in mind people are complaining about the lack of LFE boost for PCM signals (ie. Codecs decoded in player and sent to receiver as PCM).

Don't worry about musical instrument amps. I've got a 100w Mesa Dual Rectifier that shatters windows with bass. :D

I've noticed that Pro amps like Crown, Mackie, Behringer etc.. seem to have all the bells and whistles of your typical HT 2channel amplifier. But, the pro amps tend to have a lot more power for the $$$. Is the sound quality much better in the HT amps than Pro amps? Just curious.

I have a question: How are the NAD 2400 amplifiers? I see these on ebay on a regular basis. Their power levels don't seem to be very powerful, but they do have THX logo, so I guess they can't be all that weak.
