BEER SNOB!!!:D:p :D :p

Hey, I'll drink anything when somebody else is picking up the tab!

Oh, and for the age discriminating beer snobs, maturity is also something that must be learned with time. It seems it must take a little longer for some.

.....guys, can you honestly say you "enjoy" beer with food?....YUUUUUUUUCH....in my late teens and 20's, I bent the elbow a few times like normal people do in that age span being peer-group influenced, but whenever I tried a brew with food, it RUINED the taste of the food in my mouth, and I gave up on that quickly....but I never could stand the taste of the slop anyway, and right off the bat I would slam two quickly to numb the taste buds to be able to stand a few more....then my face would get numb a bit, I would find myself giggling a bit, and would end up an hour or two later with tile prints on my knees calling Ralph and Earl....RAAAAAALPH....EARRRRRRRRL, haha....ain't that yellow stomach bile wonderful?....mercy....but I noticed others claiming they loved the taste of beer....is that an attempted HE-MAN thing to claim such?....please be dead-honest with any replies, forget audio and video, we're now persuing the truth in swilling something that has gone through a fermentation process or, a ROTTING process.....

Yes, I do enjoy a good brew with certain foods. I also enjoy a good glass of wine with other foods. Some foods just don't taste right without one of those beverages.

I will admit some common beers are not very good.

As far as an acquired taste for a drink, I enjoy sake now but it took awhile. I'd still rather have a beer with sushi.

Beer is food!:D

Hi Mule,

Like everything else in life...it depends...at cook-outs/picnicing I love beer with my food...and without it for that matter:D...You are correct that beer can mess the taste of certain foods up real bad...just the same as drinking a lemonade with your mint ice cream...only Ralph and Earl would like that...but beer with a good steak is hard to beat IMO...

Alot of "kids" say they like the taste of alcohol but few really like it at first. I can say that there were beers that I liked at that age but none that I loved. Honest:) I belive I was one of the odd few...I would steal sips from my Pops Schaefer lager when I would get it from the fridge for him at as young as 9-10 years old. Ahhh memories...:)

For me it was my dad's Strohs. It was my payment for getting it for him. And yes I liked the taste back then, too.

Would you agree that we are of the few, not the many?

Or are we just to manly to admit other wise!

I really just can't tolerate very much alcohol anymore. I enjoy a good wine with dinner or hors d’oeuvres. I also like an occasional bottle of beer. I drink Belgian ales since I don’t drink much and like the smooth taste. But when I really want a drink at parties or bars, nothing can beat a good vodka martini with a twist.

Hi major, (or should I call you Mr. Loser...:p)

I rarely drink unless it's social. Don't do much wine but a jack and coke or a lemonade/iced tea and vodka can get me real social! I have to agree on the Belgians, good stuff.

good night...off to exercise,

Yes. I can say I enjoy beer with food. Different beers have different flavors, different nuances, just like wine. Some beers are more suited for spicy foods, some for fish, some for whatever.

Here's a link to pairing beer with food.

Beer is an acquired taste, but so is anything worthwhile in life. Brandy. Whisky. Wine. Coffee. Caviar. Good speakers.

I also dig this brew. Are you from MA?
I'm going to school in Worcester, or Wor-chest-er as it seems to be know in the common tongue :)

Franzkaner is my favorite along with Guiness.

Franzkaner is a Belgium Heffweizen with a grat flavor and not as heavy as some of the other out there. Pyramid being one.

Guiness needs no explanation. It tastes great and will cure an upset stomach really well. It's almost like food in a way.

I usually drink Guiness alot more in the winter when it's cold. The Franzkaner is great during Spring and Summer. Now if it's hot as hell I will go with Coors Light. Sounds crazy but it's crisp and light with a nice flavor. Goes really well with chili.

I also like sippin on whiskey.

Good choice of beverages...
Have you ever tried Weihenstephaner's Hefeweissbier (I think I spelled it right)? If not, give it a try this spring or summer (my favorite hefe).

There is nothing like kicking back listening to a G. Love & Special Sauce CD and drinking a Magic Hat #9, or throwing on some Luther on your system and cranking open a bottle of Lindeman's Framboise Lambic (my wife still thinks it's champagne). I guess shes somewhat right (In my opinion it is the champagne of all beers).

AMEN! Leave out the twist for me though.

No Grey Goose either. People who think Grey Goose is good vodka know nothing about vodka. It is the Bose of Vodkas! Over hyped and over advertised. The same goes for Absolut. Though it is better than Grey Goose, but not by much.

I have done blind taste tests on so called Grey Goose lovers. I have yet to find one that has not chosen it as the worst in the test. I love seeing the look on their faces when I reveal their worst choice as their so-called favorite.
