Which do you recommend?

My brother needs a good sub. He is considering 16" SVS or Monolith. Could you please give recommendations and reasoning?
I personally have the M-215 and love it, so am partial to Monolith, but would just like to hear others' thoughts on it.

I would go with the M-215 over the Monolith or SVS 16" subs. But it would be better to get multiple good subs instead of one single powerful sub, at least if sound quality is the priority.
