So what did you think? I really enjoy that one! Was always surprised how under the radar Pandorum went. SUCH a great ending! Was supposedly written with both a prequel and sequel in mind, but unfortunately the movie didn't perform at the box office, so we never got them. Can't believe that movie came out 10 years ago! Wow time flies.

While I know it's not the best movie or anything and I'd say that IMDB's 6.8 rating is about right (I'd give it a solid 7), it's bombing at the box office seems to be one of those things that was more due to extremely poor marketing as I had not even heard of it until a couple years later when my brother told me I had to go check it out. Studio marketing fail for sure if I had never even heard of it as an avid movie goer. Never saw a poster, a trailer, a commercial, nothing! Hate it when that happens. Was a really fun movie in my opinion.

Yes I really liked this one and I wasn’t really expecting much. It had enough tension to keep me interested and the ending was worth it. Since they are showing it now on Netflix, maybe they’ll do a sequel for it. :)

On 2-channel system (i.e. alone), watching Requiem on Netflix. On episode 3 or 4, and enjoying it so far. Ghost stories always go slow, so I have to maintain my patience. At least I'm enjoying it a lot more than Haunting of Hill House so far. HHH got to be downright annoying, and made me feel like I was watching Lost again. :confused:

On 5.1 (i.e. with wife when she's available) we're watching The Protector on Netflix. Just recently watched Bodyguard and Collateral, two short UK series we both enjoyed. Next I might rewatch Luther since she's never seen it.

Star Trek (new releases). Great DTS Neuro-X or Dolby Surround/Atmos. My TX-RZ830 (being returned) did a great job with adding the height channel content and my HSU VTF-2 MK5 really shines in the bass. I set my XBOX ONE S to Bitstream and whatever audio format the Bluray disk uses; Dolby or DTS. Seems to be the right way to do it.

I watched "A Million Ways To Die in The West" starring Seth McFarlene. Funny movie. Laughed through most of it.

Just watched "Double Jeopardy" Pretty good movie I think I'm in love with Ashley Judd. :) She was also awesome in Star Trek next gen as Robin Leflore. Anyway this movie is definitely worth watching.

Agreed on the movie....didn't know she'd done Star Trek stuff (never watched next gen tho either).

She was only in 2 episodes but I think one of the most underrated characters. And she sure was pretty. BTW I was a huge Star Trek next gen fan as if you couldn't tell. :)

After the original series the sequels just didn't do it for me, altho I've seen a few. Looking at her imdb page, the Star Trek episodes were her first acting efforts. I always enjoy seeing her, too.

Yeah I was a huge fan of the original series (I was a kid) but next gen to me was kind of like the continuation so I got hooked early.

Maybe someday I'll give the sequels another shot now that I can stream them without commercials which would probably help. I wasn't a fan of Star Trek when I was a kid particularly as mom didn't want to watch that show (and she ruled the tv pretty much). It was during reruns that I became a fan. I was pretty busy when the sequels appeared and that probably had something to do with it (and just seeing an episode in the middle here and there without all the background character development probably didn't help).

I watched the Equalizer on Monday and Equalizer 2 on Tuesday. My Atmos speakers finally got a decent workout.

Excellent movies! Even without Atmos, the audio is awesome. Big Denzel fan. Overlord is on the docket today. Hope it's a good one!

You want to workout those Atmos speakers, watch Pacific Rim 2013 in Atmos.

Also Cliffhanger and Blade Runner 2049 in Atmos.

I've only seen about 15 minutes of Mad Max Fury Road, but it seems like another Atmos workout. :D

Last night I watched Aquaman (2018) - 2/10 for the story. 9/10 for visuals - nearly as good as Avatar and that says a lot. Overall score: 6.5/10

Yeah, the story, acting, editing, and directing are all pathetic. :D

The underwater visual effects are amazing and probably nothing I have ever seen.
