Irrespective of amp power talk, would be fun to put this puppy up against my bro's Paradigm Sub2. The Triax has a lot more surface area with the third 15" woofer.

... having said that, moving around 200+ pound subwoofers takes some of the fun out of it!

I speak from experience when I say that there's a point where furniture sliders start to be meaningless :p

For those who didn't see them. Here are the finish options on the Triax. Notice that natural maple has now been added as an option.

Too bad the Triax doesn't offer a passive design because I prefer to use my own amps. ;)

I don't know you probably saving money by using the inboard amp. I know most good quality 4kw amps aren't cheap. Plus your getting DSP tuning, limiting and protection as well.

No, I would just use a $290 Crown XLS 1000 amp w/ limiter and protection, but w/o DSP/EQ since I never use that stuff.

I think power is overrated.

I had a nightmare last night about power output.

I dreamed that I had an amp w/ power gauge and the meter needle went all the way to the red clipping line of 1000 watts.

This was the first time in my life I actually had a nightmare about amp power! :D

You guys are just awful.... funny but awful.

Hopefully when (if) this gets reviewed it blows everyone away.

Edit: Damn, I missed the fact the smiley face was winking. stupid small smileys.

Should be fun. We'll grab some popcorn. Still would like to see more flexibility of a unpowered design, though. Just saying.

All my subs are unpowered, and I will never buy a powered sub. :D

For some of us, EXTERNAL amps are just fun. Whether it's a KRELL or Crown DriveCore XLS.

INTERNAL amps are not as fun to some of us.

And FUN is what this hobby is all about.

You should probably have been more worried about your ears at that point.
