I don't know you probably saving money by using the inboard amp. I know most good quality 4kw amps aren't cheap. Plus your getting DSP tuning, limiting and protection as well.

No, I would just use a $290 Crown XLS 1000 amp w/ limiter and protection, but w/o DSP/EQ since I never use that stuff. I think power is overrated.

All my subs are unpowered, and I will never buy a powered sub. For some of us, EXTERNAL amps are just fun. Whether it's a KRELL or Crown DriveCore XLS. INTERNAL amps are not as fun to some of us. And FUN is what this hobby is all about.
