I suspect though there will be people out there who support the banning regardless of what the statistics say. I mean if trans is categorically a mental health issue than that could lead to banning firearms for all gays.

Seriously, I have no life.
I said using statistics to prove blue cities have a higher crime rate and therefore justifying using federal intervention. Trump reads and uses crime statistics, and then decides a course of action? Doesn't sound like him. No I think he's going into blue cities regardless and uses that as part of his political agenda against the left.
So, lowering crime is a problem? I disagree.

The level of ignorance in your post is amazing. We shall go into every city that has an unusually high level of crime regardless of if it is blue or red. If there are more blue cities than red so be it. But we will go into all of them.

"Shall", or will? There's a difference.

Obviously, you oppose Trump sending troops into Blue areas- are you opposed if they go into Red areas?

Shall or will is irrelevant. You're avoiding my point. Why you would turn this into I would go into red cities only and not blue is mind boggling. I just said, If there are more blue cities than red so be it. But we will go into all of them.

While you're obsessing about murder rate vs the actual numbers, 8 more people in the Chicago area are being buried and their families, friends, co-workers & acquaintances have lost someone and 58 others now need to deal with the consequences of their gunshot wounds.

Why don't you go to Chicago and ask the survivors and the families of the dead if they give a rat's ass about your distinction and opinions.

Safety shoudn't be a political football, but it is. Trump isn't the one who should be making the decision, but he isn't being stopped.

OTOH, look for video interviews with people in various cities and find out if they want the NG or really, SOMEONE, to go to their cities, to make them safer. They're available and I'm not referring to FOX videos.

Hopefully the raid was legitimate, but the hypocrisy regarding Trump and documents eh well that's normal. ;)

On August 22, 2025, the FBI raided the Maryland home and Washington, D.C., office of John Bolton, former National Security Adviser under Donald Trump, as part of an investigation into the possible mishandling of classified documents. The raid was authorized under a search warrant obtained by the Justice Department.

Seized items and investigation details
Court records unsealed on September 4, 2025, revealed what was seized and the potential criminal statutes involved:

  • Seized materials: The inventory included phones, computers, hard drives, USB drives, documents in folders labeled "Trump I-IV," and a white binder titled "Statements and Reflections to Allied Strikes".
  • Reopened investigation: The probe is a reactivation of a previous Justice Department inquiry, which began during Trump's first term, into whether Bolton improperly disclosed classified information in his 2020 book, The Room Where It Happened. That case was previously closed during the Biden administration.
  • Trigger for reopening: The probe was reopened by FBI Director Kash Patel, who was appointed by President Trump in his second term. Sources familiar with the matter stated that the reopening was prompted by foreign intelligence obtained during the Biden administration, which indicated Bolton may have used a private email server to transmit classified materials to his family.
  • Potential charges: The search warrant cited alleged violations of two statutes in the Espionage Act related to the unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents and the improper gathering or transmission of national defense information.
  • Bolton's status: Bolton has not been charged with a crime. His lawyer stated that the materials seized are "ordinary records" from Bolton's career and that a review will show nothing inappropriate.

Political context
The raid and investigation are occurring amid heightened political tensions between Bolton and President Trump.

  • Preceding events: The search followed a series of actions by the Trump administration against Bolton in January 2025, including the revocation of his security clearance and Secret Service protection.
  • Trump's reaction: President Trump has denied prior knowledge of the raid and publicly called Bolton a "lowlife," suggesting the probe is legitimate.
  • Criticism of Trump: Bolton, a vocal critic of Trump, published an op-ed after the raid criticizing the president's handling of the conflict in Ukraine.
  • Allegations of retaliation: Critics of the administration, including some of Bolton's neighbors, have described the raid as an act of political retaliation intended to silence a perceived enemy. Vice President J.D. Vance has denied these accusations, stating the FBI is following the law.

So then we can send troops in everywhere we feel like it. What Trump is doing is sending in troops in large, blue cities on the basis that crime is outta control. Naturally a larger city will have more crime due to its sheer size over a smaller city. That's why there's per capita, and Trump isn't interested in that because it doesn't fit within his political agenda of blue cities have high crime while red cities are low. So he's going to do large blue city tours.

I'm not gonna provide a link but this is LOL. Newsom apparently is mimicing Trump by doing tweets with the same language as Trump uses, like say maybe "low energy" or all caps. Then Faux picks this up as a story and talks of how immature Newsom is for doing this, leaving out the part about how Trump must be immature too. ;)
