While I'm not a Trudeau fan, he's Lincoln, FDR and Churchill rolled into one compared with #47. I'll give him credit for his performance getting us through the pandemic and a few other policies, but he has a habit of committing needless gaffs. As for resigning, I don't know...he's pretty stubborn. He may try to ride it out.

If he doesn't resign, the NDP have stated they will join the Conservatives in a no confidence vote, which would defeat the government and trigger an election that the Liberals are almost guaranteed to lose. If he does resign, it'll trigger a Liberal party leadership campaign and the NDP may prop them up until an election is required in the Fall.


I expect that if/when the Conservatives are elected, Poilievre will provide an amply supply of "hold my beer" examples of beclowning himself.

There's no one to vote for in our up coming election. Poilieve has no plans for the country except trying to pass a non-confidence vote and remove the current government. The Bloc party I deem treasonist is trying to give the province of Quebec independence from Canada. In all my 63 years, I've not seen such a clusterf?ck with our politics.

Though I imagine when you say for-profit healthcare is the best choice you are rather saying for-profit is the best choice. So you bail and make up something or other and avoid asking questions. Plus I believe when you highlight United has the highest coverage turnaways than I think it doesn't really move the needle LOL.

I interpreted that as you're not a fan of universal healthcare, so what's left is either some kind of mixed system or what's in place, which is for-profit. Then bring out the caricatures in news to defend it by not saying it LOL. I felt at least you were implying universal healthcare isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Still more than the saynothings in news.

OK, but they haven't stopped traveling to those places and the Western hemisphere still hasn't had a case of polio since 1991, if that link is factual. But travel between far away places is one of the reasons the border needs to be more secure- immigrants weren't required to be tested for COVID AFAIK- if you can refute that, please do. We HAVE TO be able to stop diseases coming in- not necessarily the way they did it at Ellis Island (covered people with DDT), but I wonder if the first people to enter with COVID were symptomatic. OTOH, if they were in the early stages, they may have just said "It's a cold".

You really need to read slower, or something. RFK jr said he's against it, I provided info about the last cases in the Western Hemisphere and where it's a current problem. That kind of shows my support since I didn't post anything about not supporting vaccines.

Tump is copy catting India and Modi government. BJP, Modi's party doesn't just go after news organization they go after individual reporters, Doxing, physical violence and even assasination in one case. Trump is behind by at least 10 years!

It's the elected members' of both political parties who are in the pockets of the Pharma, Health Insurance, Pharmacy Benefit Manager lobbies. Us the American citizens are too uninformed, too lazy to lobby and demand action of our elected members of Congress. We think our responsibility end with voting.
