Pioneer Elite VSX-54TX Loudness button.

Pioneer Elite VSX-54TX Loudness button on receiver? I bought the receiver with no remote and it has a Midnight setting and loudness setting but the remote I have only has a midnight button but no Loudness? I can turn up the bass, but it doesn't seem that much bass? Anyone know if these receivers are good? My cheap Technics has way more bass? Anyone have the original remote?

That is a 22 year old receiver and not of much use these days.

Might search ebay for original remotes. Problem with units relying on remotes, but as said, an old unit that likely you're just better updating.

I have the same receiver and it’s actually a pretty solid unit. The Loudness function is on the original remote, so your replacement remote may just be missing that button. Also, if you’re expecting a big bass boost, Loudness only really kicks in at lower listening levels, so that might explain why you’re not hearing much difference.
