Klipsch sub 10 vs Infinity Model Twelve

OK there is someone selling these two subs and i was wondering which is better to go with price is close enough for me not to care just want to know which one is better. Both subs are 10"

Room is aprox 13'x13' with 9' celing. It will be a 5.1 set up with PSB towers in front with some PSB in walls in back reciever dont have yet but probally a Onkyo 808 what ever the new 800 series number is.

Help me out

OK i attached anoutline of the room. There are 2 windows that will be coverd up somehow. As far as budget i dont know what will $600 get it is a smalish room so if there is something cheaper of more expensive that will sound better let me know either way. The measurements are in inches and the celing is 9' high

You definitely hit all 3 out of the park. You can't go wrong with those brands.

He has their top of the line Ultra series x2 . All of the subs listed are the best in your price range. I've been partial to the dual driver epiks because of the introductory pricing vs performance but they all will leave the retail subs you first mentioned in the dust. ID sub's cost is close to half of their retail counterpart's cost for similar performance in most cases.

I am only considering this one because if we get the couch my wife wants there will be some space in a corner behind the couch where I could probably fit this. I only want to go this route if it wouldn't mess up the sound being behind a couch and also in the corner of the room. If you can see the drawing of the room, the sub could go in either corner of the 61” wall. What do you all think?

The other option would be an enclosed sub. Probably this one http://www.svsound.com/products-sub-box-sb12nsd.cfm because of the size. I am having a cabinet built up front that will run the whole length of the wall with the towers on top of the cabinet behind a door with some screen that sound can pass through. How do you think this sub would sound in a similar style but on ground level also behind one of those screens that sound can pass through sort of built into the cabinet. I am sorry I cant remember what that screen stuff is called.

Just so you know the room will have a 100" or so projector screen as well between the two towers.

How would the cylinder sub being in the corner behind a couch sound. I have never heard a cylinder sub so would one like that syle be ok behind a couch?

May sound great or it may sound so so. It doesn't matter that its a cylinder or a box. Placement should be determined when you get the sub. It may sound great there just note that other areas may be more optimal.

The shape of the sub doesn't change the sound of it assuming its insides are well dampened and internal standing waves aren't an issue.

The problem is, your room. Bass frequencies may leave the sub uniformly, but as soon as they hit your walls, they're going to change in direction, intensity, and clarity. You'll find that at your sitting spot, different subwoofer placements can give you completely different sounds. On that note, sometimes it's better to get a cheaper, or a pair of cheaper subs, and leave some money in the budget for some corner bass traps.

you can have a 3000 dollar subwoofer and have it sound completely boomy and awful if you stick it in the wrong place. The only way to know the best place to place it is to play around with it once you get it. You may even find that rearranging everything in your room is worth it.

I get the impression these are used subs. What are the prices? They may be worth buying, if the price is right.

I have gone past those two no longer want them. What about the ones i talked about in my post above.
