The Houthis forced the US to retreat as well so don’t sell the Houthis short. The Saudis have no strategic advantage over the Houthis but the Houthis can totally cripple Saudi by destroying refineries, ports, and desalination plants. The Houthis have mountains much like Iran and are tunneled into them. Saudis have no well defined targets against the Houthis. Saudi will lose this fight and their leadership shows the same misunderstanding as the Trump administration.

Apparently, the 60 Minutes interview with the EW warfare officer that was shot down in an F15 and was rescued is nothing but a Trump/Hegseth propaganda scam. There are more holes in his story and interview than a bucket used by rednecks in target practice.

It has nothing to do with the Houthis' capabilities. The Saudis are simply militarily inept, regardless of who they might be facing. They want to bomb the Houthis into submission and that won't work. They want the US to step in, but it looks like those strikes have been called off. Nobody wants to invade because, even if they achieved a "mission accomplished", they'd be facing an insurrection.
