Seriously, I have no life.
The crime was bad before they reduced MPD funding but as I wrote, roughly 500 officers have left in recent years and they haven't been able to replace many of them and I have to wonder how the Fire & Police Commission Mayor and Common Council can look at themselves in the mirror without puking. I can't imagine how they could do a worse job but at least this isn't Detroit, Chicago or a few other places. OTOH, Chicagoans do contribute to the problems because they only need to travel about 80 miles to get here.1st off sorry.
Some of this is from 'Defund the Police' initiatives and it hasn't been working out too well. It also disproportionately affects minority and lower socio-economic groups.
Denzel Washington is seen in several videos saying "It starts in the home. Where are their fathers. Where are their mothers. If they can't have a father at home, they'll find one in the streets". Washington mentions the time he was being driven somewhere and he noticed kids wearing their masks on the side of their heads and he asked the driver about that. He was told of Lil Yummy.

One Tragic Story of Robert ''Yummy'' Sandifer
Who's Robert "Yummy" Sandifer? Why Tupac Talk About Yummy? He was an American street gang member from Chicago.

He can be seen in a couple of college commencement speeches, too- makes a lot of sense IMO, and I seriously doubt he would vote for a Republican.
Young kids committing major crimes isn't new here- in 1976, the father of a friend from a high school job was entering his business to do maintenance on some of the arcade machines early one morning and as he was unlocking the door, three teenaged kids appeared- ages were 12, 13 and 15. He was shot by the 13 year old and he died.
