Gay sheep, who would have thought?

So the sheepherder is just taking care of the lonely female sheep?

It took a group from Oregon to figure this out. This is the same state that blew up a whale carcus with over 1,000 lbs. of dynamite to get rid of it.

They really care about animals in Oregon:D
You ought to see what we do with salmon! You ever go fishing with ...salmon eggs? heh heh

By the by, that stinky ol' whale that they blew up...'twasn't in Florence. It was just down the street from me in Lincoln City. They also spent thousands trying to bury the thing. It gave "whale watching" a whole new meaning.

Oh, speaking of Urban Legends....someone told me that Sheepstar had a (close) friend named Ewephoria. True or false? ;)

The gay cowboy concept brings a new perspective to familiar lines from old cowboy flicks:
1. There's only one way to find out who's quicker.
2. Reach for it and you're dead.
3. Been in town long, stranger?
4. You're my huckleberry.
5. There's nothing like spending a night out under the stars, Tonto.
6. Let's slap leather, cowboy.
7. Holy chihuahua, who was that masked man with the whip and the cape?

Here's the thinking of an insider group that's not composed of homophobic arses from FoxNews: The Numbers. And this, also from The Numbers. This is based on theater owners and actual sales, not repressed ravings.

Looks like in reality the film is doing pretty damned well for the number of theaters it's playing in, just like I said.

Really, man- don't get your film info from FoxNews.

There's a huge gulf between "failing miserably" and "huge blockbuster." 95% of all movies fall into that range, BTW. The movie is doing very very well for the studio by all metrics that they use. Will it give Titanic a run for its money? Of course not- it's not that kind of movie. It wasn't filmed to drag teens and couples into the theater and sell soft drinks, it's more of an art film. I doubt the idea was to turn people gay with the movie, either. Presumably they weren't counting on changing any bigotted minds, they just wanted to make a good film and have it do okay at the box office, which by any objective standards they have.

I don't understand the concept of equating the number of tickets sold with the movie's quality, either. In music, don't most of us assume something that's extremely popular is goint to be bad by defaut? Most populist music is pure crap. Look at all the stuff that sells huge amounts now and you'll probably have my list of the worst new music of the last 40 years. Milli Vanilli is a better band than Wilco by your standards, right?;)

Wow - it's kind of disheartening to realise that a lot of people I share a passion for good quality sound and video with can be somewhat close-minded. My wife and I saw the trailer for this when we saw Syriana (another good movie) at the weekend and we thought it looked like a good story and we plan to see it. To each their own, I guess.

Nah, I'm not closed-minded....I just like poking fun at stuff....and I can't help it....the thought of a gay spaghetti western cracks me up.
