Just preordered Master and Commander 4K. It lists an Atmos track and hopefully they fix some of the audio issues that were on the BD release.

I got that myself. I did go ahead and pre-order the new Amazon exclusive Superman 4k steelbook set. I never purchased the original 5 film release and I'm kind of glad I waited. Since they went and fixed all the issues the previous versions had. It is dumb they didn't offer disc replacement for everyone. That's a big L in my opinion when a studio doesn't replace a disc for a problem they created.

Everything else sounded great. They just neutered the LFE, the obvious reason why bassheads demoed that scene.
It’s an overall amazing soundtrack even in DTS. That’s why it’s so disappointing that they neutered it. Even late into the scene when it’s mostly quiet and they’re firing at them going into the fog. The low teen single wobble the pulses the room just adds to the weight and makes it so much more an experience. More realistic. We have a military camp across the river and they are always flying choppers and planes and machine guns and 158mm cannons. To say the neutered track is just too weak is an understatement. I’ll watch the dvd. Love me some film grain! Huh Andrew?

DVD 480p? Film Gain?

 Double Blasphemy!! :D

I knew you’d like that.
Yeah, for me the missing deep bass of those cannon blasts just makes it next level. So I’ll take some grain and even 480p to get there.(no I can’t remux it). Besides. What did they shoot it with?

35 mm film. But I heard they remastered using original 35mm to 4K digital.
