Al Sharpton posed these questions ( regardless of your feelings towards him, the questions pose food for thought)

1.Who was the permit for the rally issued to?
2. Who put up the insurance?
3. Any gathering that size requires meetings with City officials, police, for security purposes to ascertain proper staffing levels. Did these meetings take place?
4. the route of any proposed March should have been outlined and approved. Did this happen?

Did the disparate treatment of MAGA vs BLM start before the event began?

Because like Trump, Fox News, and other Republicans your”denouncement” of violence followed by a quick “but” seeks to obfuscate the obvious... they were invited, incited, instructed, and ultimately escorted through the the Capital

anyone with any police/military experience knows that the capital steps and any breach of that building should have been met with lethal force!
the VP, Senate, andHouse were in session.

i don’t know you well enough to call you a racist. My problem is that so many Republicans and evangelical Christians are adopting the language and rhetoric. I gets harder to differentiate....
black folks get dead and white folks get praised in trumplandia...

Not sure would say the only Republicans have adapted Rhetoric. Both sides can be equally guilty there. I also don’t think this issue on capital hill had much of anything to do with race. This was about distrust in this election. I certainly have a healthy skepticism and would expect the abnormalities be looked into and and funny business found publicized and hold folks legally accountable. It will not change the outcome but trust must be restored. Ignoring half the public’s concern will not make it go away and calling them ignorant or stupid does not fix it.

I am not sure I follow you with the language that has been adapted by said Republicans. I certainly don’t believe I speak a language of racism. Heck maybe I do. I certainly have not encountered any issues in the past based on how I live and treat people of all races.

Just to be clear I would probably categorize myself as mostly libertarian. So I think that is like half racist. Maybe, I’m wrong and that is still 100% racist since I don’t have a BLM sticker on my car.

I am a engineer not a security guy, but, i have worked in a few secure DoD facilities before. If any authorized persons breached certain perimeters, they would immediately get mowed down (no questions asked). This building is supposed to be on a different notch than anything i've worked in. Capitol police personnel (accessories to terrorism) caught on camera opening doors and letting terrorists in should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

DC's chain of control for security is a bit complex, but, DC national guard was under the control of Chris Miller, the Rump's new crony yesterday. But, it is not just DC's national guard, there are other entities (federal agents, active troops, etc) there that can be deployed there within minutes (to my knowledge). Everything was held back and orchestrated by the orange thug. When a investigation starts, his accomplices will now pretend that it was some kinda weird ass administrative delay (information didn't come through soon enough, etc). The Adderall snorting thug went on twitter talking about peace and calm just a li'l later (maybe, he thinks it is his fckin alibi)

You still don't get it, do you?? Any one of those terrorists who breached the building yesterday could have been strapped with explosives and killed everybody in the building (including the vice president). You could have voted for the orange thug, the fck i care. But, don't you dare try and downplay anything about yesterday's events (But, what about BLM, libs riot too, etc etc) right now boy.....

Both sides can’t be equal when one side has the full support and blessing of the Government.
You couldn’t pay me enough to put a BLM sticker on my car.
half racist...is that like being kinda pregnant?

Jeff, I am not calling you a racist, just responding to something I read.

? Is it enough to say “I am not a racist” , but silently support systems, institutions and ideologies that are fundamentally racist?

Does simply not being a racist make someone part of the problem or part of the solution.

I am not asking you to answer for yourself or any group you belong to.

I think the problem there is your asking trust be restored when there was no proof of fraud.

Ok so now a lecture. I get called a boy, which is a racist term or maybe you are saying I am part of the proud boys....not sure I fully understand what you are getting at. Same talking points from most on the folks like you...I am stupid, you are smart. BTW calling anyone who is not on the left a racist, is no different than me saying all of the left is is ANTIFA and socialists. Which I know is not true.

But message received Clear sir.

This was a security failure and it is the Congress who owns this responsibility.

I agree it could have ended very badly we are lucky the crazies did not have bombs on. I have never disputed that.

Shameful no matter how you look at it, whether the orange fool encouraging them (and promising to march with them....which of course the lying sack of sh*t didn't do), or the idiot MAGA crowd (they are idiots), or the shameful capitol police letting them in and taking pictures with them. Such is the legacy of the chickenshit republicans....who of course did not stay in the chamber to welcome "their" people.....they're about as brave as ol' bone spurs.

The capital police is charged with securing the facilities.. That's probably why the chief resigned.. Congress is responsible for writing laws... There is no crossover...

It has now been reported several times on *CNN* that Pence , not trump, not the dc mayor was contacted by congressional leaders for national Guard protection DURING the riot, so anybody that wants to argue that point can take it up with them..

Seriously, I have no life.
Breaching the capitol building and threatening the lives of US senate members (bomb threats, pipe bombs, etc as they did yesterday) is a serious crime. This woman and many other hillbillies yesterday were terrorists and need to face the consequences.

These terrorists were largely radicalized by a lying conniving lardass orange mthrfkr.
So, just being there constituted a threat?

WOOPS! That's the wrong answer. Security works on prevention and thinking the worst, not the minimum. Imagine trying to explain that to the WH while being the head of the department of security.
The head of security quit and they were seriously unprepared- their performance doesn't show anyone that they had a clue. If they had handled it well and Trump or someone had fired them for going against orders, it wouldn't go well for those who fired them, in court. They would have done what needed to be done but that didn't happen. It got out of hand, terribly. If security had been adequate, nobody would have gotten in.

It did when BLM was there. But you know that....
They didn't just mow everyone down when BLM was there, if you think about it.

Mobs are volatile- the mob at the capitol should have been met with sufficient manpower to prevent the breach. It wasn't- if it was because they were under orders to stand down or provide minimal resistance, we need to find out exactly who gave the orders, WITH PROOF, not just allegations.

Jeff, security people follow orders. They did as they were told. staffing was too low, why? I have seen more security at a Kenny G concert.

I do not understand in any way how this was the responsibility of the Congress.

Agreed, much in the same manner that Trump and his legal team had/have the responsibility to present PROOF of their case for election fraud in court and abide by the rulings, instead they continued to shout baseless and fraudulent ALLEGATIONS voter fraud, ignore the fact that they provided no substantial evidence of fraud in a court of law,(where the rules are different and there are penalties for lying) all the while raking in millions for the fight.

now you want proof instead of allegations? I guarantee you that time will reveal that the federal government (trump) was complicit in ensuring safe passage for the rioters.

security forces follow plans and orders.

BLM was not in or near enough to the Capital for anything like that to happen. Why not? Because of the security plan that was implemented .
if it was a planned march, the route should have been submitted for approval right? Or did Trump illegally order the March?
