There that takes care of 2 of my 10 allowed images. I just snapped some quick pic's.
The front ... you can see where I accessed the box for wiring at the top corners (all low voltage). There's Coax running to the back corners of the room (for existing subs) and to the L&R speaker locations for possible future subwoofer relocations.
A critical design feature is this shelf mod. I had to move one of the brackets and install the Frankenstein looking slide locks. I'll down size those later and probably clad the shelf perimeter with Mahogany or maybe this cool looking Cherry molding I have.
The center channel binding post wire is loose and just tucked into that left hole in the beam to keep it out of the way. There won't be any wires on the face of the beam. The binding post is off center because the center channel's binding posts
are centered.
This seems like a good time to spring my foot photo trap on Greg.
The above pic aside from making Greg a little sick shows the ManTown side. Of particular significance is the 120v exiting the wall in a normal fashion with a GFCI receptacle. That's Rick's doing. Just a note for Rick: when somebody is being stupid it's okay to tell them, "Hey, you're being stupid." Anyway the Monster power center plugs into that (the other cord is just to power up a lamp temporarily). The cable company coax exits the wall there too.
I got these Mahogany colored 2-1/8" (same bore as a door knob/dead bolt) wire grommets to run those two wires into the box. You can see a little of the unfinished (pun intended) Mahogany trim detail. I've got a variety of fans that I'm going to think about installing on that hopefully Chinese looking round slat thing.
