Pro Rack ... kind of

Here's the bare rack. It's a shelf bolted to the rails which use the Monster Carver amp as architecture. The DEQ is new and needed a home. I seem to have time off ... so ... this is what I did.

It all rides on this Mahogany base which is plastered with fuzzy wuzzies so that it slides. If I had thought I was gonna photograph it I might have sprayed a little of that upside down marking acrylic or something else clear stuff that we use at work to seal in chalk lines. What ever ... finishes are down to this level of input.

BTW ... all the parts and pieces were all scavenged from garbage piles ...
except for the 4 stainless rack screws.

It's nice that it slides around to access the wiring. Fuzzy Wuzzies rock. The speaker on the swiveling wall mount just barely clears. That was partly by design and partly luck. I wasn't exactly 100% positive about the height. I knew 16 inches would fit but I had extra room. As it stands the rack is 17-1/8"" and my clearance is 17-1/4". Ta-da ... it's magic.

The DEQ2496 ain't hooked up yet but here's some wires and adapters ... go ahead you wire sickos ... get an eye full.

I like. Can you give me more info on the wires and adapters? These in your pic are what I would need to use this Amazon.com: Behringer DEQ2496 Digital 24-Bit/96 kHz EQ/RTA Mastering Processor: Musical Instruments in a normal household setting? I've been eyeballing this for a while, but noticed the connections aren't what you would normally have at the consumer level.

Thanks for any info.

The adapters came with it ... I haven't quite got TRS, Phono and 1/4" sorted out but what I have is RCA to TRS and RCA to XLR adapters as pictured. It's for a sub set up but the previous owner, Jeff had dual subs and gave 'em the mono treatment but I'm wanting separate treatments for L&R subs from a mono signal. I have no idea how to do any of that yet.

Monoprice will have all the adapters you could ever want and BJC might be a source for that stuff. With BJC you can probably talk to someone via email or maybe phone to get the wire made up without any adapters ... or Monoprice might already have cables like that made up without adapters.

I'm bored.:D
Tell me about it but I'm still not going to like read the manual or nothin'.

The rack rails were cannibalized from a computer IT/room equipment rack. You can see by their shape that they're not quite the normal rails. The Mahogany on the bottom came from a court house Eddie worked on and that little piece of Cherry that acts as a stop at the back of the shelf came from another friends lumber discards.
