In Wall Speakers with Wings

After inspiration from Gene and Matt's video (Optimizing LCR Speaker Placement with Acousticaly Transparent Screens,
), I'm starting over on theater version 2.0.

Side walls, doors, ceiling, carpet and electrical are all done - just need to figure out front and back walls and in wall speakers. Will use a good 106" (shown) to 110" 16:9 acoustically transparent screen hanging about 6" from front wall. Using a Monolith HTP-1 with all Dirac upgrades (bass management and active room treatment), amp with an honest 200W x 7, plus another amp for four ceiling surface mount Atmos speakers and four SVS 2000 sealed subs. For the front wall, considering KEF Ci3160RLM-THX and sides KEF Ci200QS. Rears may be Ci200QS or Q Concerto Meta.

Room is 12'8" x 17'6' x 8'1" (walls shown as 4' high in drawings). Excellent sound containment with 3 layers of 5/8" rock for ceiling, hung on independent joists. Walls are 2 layers of 5/8" on 2x6 studs. Lots of insulation and heavy doors with seals.

The "Flat" drawings show all speakers on flat front wall with speaker spacing as recommended by Audio Advice guide.

The "Wings" drawings show 30 degree wings (might reduce angle slightly) - crossed lines shown are perpendicular to wings. The goal is to toe the Left and Right for better 2 channel music listening sound as that is more important to me than theater sound. The preferred four sub arrangement for Dirac has subs pointing front to back and vice versa. My first guess is to cut into the wings as shown, using removable trim that will seal the subwoofer openings, hoping that the effect of the angled wing can be accommodated by Dirac. The question is will this just mess things up compared to the "Flat" setup. The L & R may be too close to the side walls and making the walls more complicated could cause problems. I'd would really appreciate feedback, thanks!

Are you going to use the back boxes? If not you will really regret it.
