No, I don't have room treatments. In order to have them, they'd need to pass the WAF since I don't have a dedicated Music/HT room.

I currently use an Auralex Gramma for my sub. I have found the benefits to be noticeable which is pretty surprising for having only spend $49. Lots more energy in the room and less in the walls and floor.

We are looking for our first house and I would definitely like to add bass traps and wall panelling especially if I can have someone draw out roughly where the best spots would be to have it. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford to get the whole room done, but it's 100% that I will be using room treatments more in the future.

I have several homemade OC703 room treatments. I'm actually still in the process of finishing them up. I'm somewhat limited in what I can do since it is in my living room, but I've been able to add a couple reflection panels and bass traps--and it's actually made a measurable difference.

I don't currently use any acoustic treatments. I will defiantly use them in a future dedicated theater room. I think the cost is one of the most important elements. Right or wrong, treatments fall towards the bottom end of peoples' home theater budget. The other element would be a wide range of fabric options and the ability to use a custom fabric a customer selected. I think it would be a great idea to have fabric samples on hand that you could ship to a customer to check against the colors in the room. This could be a paid option that many people would still take advantage of. Good luck Ed. I am loving my a2-300.

Hi,
I have a large family room with large openings to a foyer and kitchen. The entire area is hardwood. This a difficult area to control (with WAF). My bass tends to be boomy regardless of any receiver tweaking(eg Audyssey). A stealthy room treatment would be my goal.

the only thing close to room treatment I have is one Auralex corner bass trap,


and the thing I would look for in a product is price and more importantly is "wife approvability"

The treatments I have are "informal" i.e. Lots of books. Surely not as efective as engineered panels, but they do help with absorbtion and I already own them. I would use engineered panels if I could justify the price point.

Yes, currently use 9 - 2" DIY 703 w/ 1.5 inch spacing in a 14x15 room with an opening into stairs and a hallway.

I would like to see more reasonably priced diffusion products, though my current room is a little too small to make effective use of them.

The only room acoustics that I currently have are window treatments. When I do finally fully treat my room for sound, I would like to use treatments on the walls that my wife will approve of but also provide good sound absorbtion. Also, easy to install base traps for the corners of the room. Oh and a good place to point me to good products for my needs.

Don't have acoustic treatments although I'm in desperate need of them. Problem is I only have two walls. Can't have treatments without walls.

I don't currently use room treatments but I have thought about doing it for quite some time. I'm really looking for something that is very cost effective and doesn't require much to attach it to the wall because I still rent.

I use acoustic room treatments. I made my own panels out of parts express speaker fabric and 2 inch Owens Corning 703 fiberglass panels. I have 6 2x4 foot panels: two behind my front 3 speakers, and 4 on the side walls at the first reflection points.

Due to my limited DIY skills, the panels look rough, though they work well for absorbing first reflections. If the commercial panels were cheaper, I would gladly buy them for their improved looks.

I do not use acoustic treatments yet but have designs for a family room expansion that will have in wall 5.1 speakers integrated with a broad array of fabric wrapped wall panels such that some wall panels will be sound abssorbing and others will have in wall speakers behind them. I've been impressed by the "eurospan" fabric wrapped panel system but all of this is dependant on funding. I do all my own installation and speaker building but as an architect I do design video conferencing facilities - Etc.
