No I don't currently use room treatments, but I sure need to in my livingroom.
I would be inclined to buy room treatments if they didn't look like room treatments and worked.

No treatments...

I've never felt the need. Would I consider them...sure...in a different room that I've been contemplating moving the rig to, but my current setup is too bizarre for them to work properly...family room, semi-corner loaded, crowded.
I'd want affordable and decor friendly.

No treatments here.

The room my system is located in is a completely open downstairs (living room/dining room/kitchen) living space. If the price and appearance was right and I had an enclosed room, or even a semi enclosed room, I would absolutely consider them.

I don't currently use acoustic treatments. They appear to be pretty thick, and im not too happy with the idea of "dressing" my walls/ceilings. However, I would consider something that looked natural and blends into the walls. If the price is right and it doesnt look out of place, then maybe my opinion would change.

I don't use any room treatments other than the furniture and heavy curtains.
I just keep looking for things to catch my eye. WAF or obtrusive are considerations.

I do not currently use acoustic treatments. If I had a true HT, I would probably do so. But my HT is also the living room. I would need these to blend into the decor and not stick out. Paint-able to match walls might be an idea. Not sure if this would work though.

No treatments yet.

I will be making my own panels and bass traps but consider purchasing if costs come down. $250+ is too much for a couple of panels I can build for under $80 in parts.

Contest Question: Do you currently use acoustic room treatments in your home theater?

Yes.

If yes, what do you use and what would you like to see improved over you current acoustic treatments?

I currently own 15 panels, specifically, 8x HF Mondo Traps, 2x HF Mini Traps, 2x GIK 244, and 3x GIK 242s.

If no . . .

Thanks for the subwoofer sweepstakes.

None

My system is in my living room and bedroom. No room for Panels. Some improvement could be made with small and inconspicous Treatment. I have yet seen any i would use to that description.

not exactly.
i did install carpet as a room treatment and use SpeakerDudes for my main speakers and SubDudes for my sub-woofers

I would install something like SonoSuede if it was more affordable

I do not have any room acoustical treatments. My wife has tons of her junk all over so essentially room treatments would not benefit me much. :D

I currently do not use room treatments. I would like to. I would like to see an affordable product that brings more to the table than only the acoustics improvement. I would like to see functionality added such as back ground lighting and whatever other innovations could be added to such product. I think the WAF is huge here - so two variables come into play - price and appearance.

No room treatments here. If I were to use tham I would want something that looked good. Not just a panel slapped on a wall.

No I currently do not use room treatments. However, I am definitely looking into corner bass traps. My next home theater purchase will probably be Chameleon™ Bass Traps. Cost me around $350.00 or so...

Respectfully,

No treatments here.

The cost for the panels is IMO outrageous for the expected pay-off.
I'd build my own if I could count on the GF to pick out a fabric she likes in a timely fashion without accompaning her to the fabric store.

God I hate fabric stores.

I am not using any dedicated acoustical treatments. My "home theater" is a multi-use family room. The only acoustical treatments are the furnishings: thick large-area rug (with under-pad) over the hardwood floor, large sectional couch, thick drapes over large sliding door, etc. Overall, I am pretty happy with the sound. I could probably tame the bass down a bit, but corner bass-traps would we a WAF-no-no. I would like to try some diffusion on my back wall, with "skyline" type diffusers... but I am worried about size and the look.

Contest Question: Do you currently use acoustic room treatments in your home theater? If yes, what do you use and what would you like to see improved over you current acoustic treatments? If no, is there something in particular that you are looking for in a product that would make you choose to move forward with acoustic room treatments?

I do use acoustic treatments. They are currently hidden behind the front gear as they are not particularly attractive. Anything that would make treatments more WAF (decorator) friendly would be terrific!

I currently use DIY panels and traps. Thinner panels use 705, and thicker panels and corner trap use 703. I also have one small poly diffuser.

If I didn’t have to build them to keep things affordable that would be nice, but current prices are just too high even when factoring in the convenience.

Affordable custom panels that utilize dye-sublimation printing would be awesome!

I don't currently use room treatments. My media room is under construction and I'm considering options. Factors include: effectiveness, price and how well the treatments fit into the look of the room.

I do not use acoustic room treatments.

My room is not very conducive to using acceptable treatments.
