I don't mind some film grain either. The noise can tie together an image nicely sometimes. I sometimes think that film grain gets overly emphasized sometimes by the more oldschool enthusiasts. Almost every review or critique on a movie's picture quality brings seems to bring it up as a major point. There are some films that are de-grained and the complaining about it is somewhat incessant in certain circles. The semi-recent Cameron 4k releases were an example of that and, for the most part, I found them to look fine. I brought it up in the context of wondering if it was an element given more priority in that 5-star list, given that the list contained a lot of older films. The worst 4K Digital movie, Video Rating 3.5, is The Creator. :D
