Looking to run a true 5HZ signal to my Sub woofers but think my anthem receiver will Bottle neck this.

I've never owned one but with a specific focus on infrasonic frequency response down to 5Hz, I suspect the UMIK-1 is iffy. "Frequency response: 20 Hz - 20kHz +/-1dB with calibration loaded "

You might consider omnidirectional calibration mics from companies like Earthworks, B&K, and DPA. [Much pricier though]. Not that I'm well read on them but they are some of the big names in the field that come to mind.

UPDATE: Keep in mind that just because some people post graphs showing readings for low, single digit bass on some mics like the UMIK-1, this doesn't prove they are necessarily accurate values.
Appreciate the insights. I'm going to kick things off with the UMIK-1 mic once everything is live, check out the results, and see how things progress from there

5Hz is used for riot control
Infrasonic sound/vibrations also can cause a fight/flight response in some people and in some instances nausea.

I guess I'm lucky in that I have a pretty stable stomach and I only get nauseous maybe once every decade. It's an extremely rare event for me. Anyway I was home and tapping on my computer when suddenly out of the blue I felt nauseous. Not severe but it came on instantly. About a second or two later I suddenly hear everything in my room that hangs (like plants on chains, headphone extension cords, etc.) start to gently swing back and forth.—"What the?!"— It was bizarre but only lasted a few seconds. I'd never experienced an earthquake in my life but on a whim I typed in my towns' name and "earthquake" and google confirmed they only happen where I lived once a century at most, so "unlikely", I though to myself.
Then five minutes later my phone lights up and I was getting all sorts of alerts: "town experiences first earthquake in a century!"

I do see how bumpy the curve is.

I believe he was doing Room correction though, so you would want a microphone as opposed to a direct wire otherwise, how would you be able to see how the room reacts?

I have asked the question on the other forum, if a mini dsp was used. I will report back if I get an answer

Bottom line is I dont neccesarily need to play 5-10hz content on a regular basis , but I dont want to be limited at all by my hardware or software, if that makes sense?
Are you aware that humans don't perceive 5Hz as easily as 20Hz-20KHz and even in that range, we're far more sensitive to midrange frequencies?

The point of Elephants having acuity in the 5Hz range is so they don't need a speakerphone unless they're very far away and at that point, the speaker isn't going to help much. Just like a car system builkt for Rap/Hip Hop, the bass is audible a long distance away.

Most people can’t hear below 20 Hz, but you can definitely feel it on a solid home theater setup. Just to be clear, I won’t normally be running my subs down at 5–10 Hz anyway. I just want to make sure my gear won't bottleneck at 15–20 Hz, as I have the headroom to hit 5 Hz without overextending the drivers

Dont even get me started on hearing loss. lol Ive been a licenced automotived mechanic/transmission builider for 25 years now and have already slight loss of the higher frequencies in my one ear. So im certain this entire home theater stuff wont help my cause. lol

The Fs for this particular driver is 20hZ i believe. However when the sub is placed in a sealed setup they have been know to hit 5-10hz with out issues. They are a custom made sub with 29mm of one way cone travel.

I have personally heard 4 of them in a similar sized room to mine and they sound absoulutley incredible.

Definitly puts my pair of paraidgm x-12's to shame

Im going to be running a CVR D-1004 rack mounted amp on 220 volts which can output a true 1700 watts rms with a 4 ohm load.

I will have to play with imput sensitivity and the mini dsp to ensure I dont put any more than 1200 watts RMS into each sub, which i believe is 69 AC volts at a 4 ohm load

If you haven't used hearing protection for the whole time you have been a mechanic, I'm calling BS on "slight loss of highs in one ear". Air tools, leaking exhaust systems, backfiring and all of the other noises haev taken a toll on your hearing and if you haven't been tested by an audiologist, do it. OSHA has noise exposure tables for workers and since our hearing is most sensitive in the 3K range, you probably have more problems than just the highs.

Please stop making assumptions about me. You do not know my situation or when I last had my hearing tested. This tone is entirely unnecessary, and I am not interested in continuing a conversation built on guesswork and negativity.

But what you haven't heard is that exact same system, playing that exact same music, at the exact same volume, from the exact same listening position, at the same sitting (so you are evaluating what you hear live rather than relying on your memory of what you heard on some prior occasion), with the infrasonic content played in isolation. THAT"S WHAT MY TEST TRACKS I POSTED IN THIS POST PROVIDES.
Listen to my tracks on that very system and you will quickly realize the infrasonic content contributes either very little or absolutely nothing you can detect by unaided ear nor body shaking alone.

Just a heads-up that my system isn't built yet. It will be about two months before it's up, running, and calibrated, but I'll definitely try out your track then and will probably start a new post in the right section. Also, I just wanted to clarify that this post was only to make sure my system doesn't have a bottleneck blocking sub-15–20 Hz frequencies. I didn't mean I actually plan to listen to music or movies that low—I just want to know my system has the capability to get there if I want it to!

When we say, "Human hearing is 20-20kHz" that's sort of a generality. An easy to remember shortcut.

Women differ from men.
Age causes a huge change, at least in that top value. [e.g. People past their 20's like no longer can hear 20kHz.] [psst: The good news is high frequency hearing loss usually is so gradual as your decades of life increase that you hardly notice this change unless you run tests where it gets exposed.]
Life long exposure to noise changes things too.

Also it's not that we "stop hearing", say outside "20Hz to 20kHz"; its more like the level we need starts to skyrocket beyond those easy-to-remember values:

Also it's not talked about much but my own private analysis found that not only are the extreme parts of the range more difficult to hear, they are also the least important parts to our hearing for determining if something is "off" musically.

Regarding levels necessary for infrasonic thresholds of human hearing detection, this graphic of many studies show they all agree that detecting sound at 10Hz and lower need a ton more SPL. . . [and these necessary levels aren't usually encoded in the movies and music we buy in the first place, not so much because they technically can't be but because doing so means compromising the signal-to-noise ratio [think: absence of background hiss] of the parts that more truly do matter to our appreciation of the music:
