Joes shotgun testimonial is one of my favorites !
it's a shame these half-wit politicians (both sides of the aisle) have not done a better job concentrating on getting us senior citizens vaccinated. I know how to responsibly look after my guns !
I'm sure the two guys who were killed in those home invasions thought they knew how to look after their guns too, but never underestimate someone who's off the hook, mentally. Living in the sticks, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the two killed had them in a nice wooden gun cabinet, but at this point, that can't be considered 'secure'. Locked, sure, but so easy to break into after overpowering the people in the house....
They don't give a rat's ass about seniors.
OTOH, killing people over 65 would allow Social Security to hold onto the money they would have received in that "entitlement program". I can imagine that someone has looked at the fund and said "Hey, look! It's not as bad as we thought!". I would think not, if you look at the number of people of that age and older whose deaths were attributed to COVID. Using the average SS benefit payment of $1450, this results in saving the Trust almost $522 Million per month.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, COVID-19 is deadliest among older populations. CDC data also show that Americans, regardless of age group, are far more likely to die of something other than COVID-19.

However, this link also shows "CDC data also show that Americans, regardless of age group, are far more likely to die of something other than COVID-19. Even among those in the most heavily impacted age group (85 and older), only 13.1 percent of all deaths since February 2020 were due to COVID-19.".
