I still have some drivers to build with :) No need for Funk, altho they are very nice :) I need the exercise more than another sub, tho. :)
Ya... I can't even take that seriously! :p But a pair of Salks... Ha!

Feel ya on the exercise tip, for real. Swimming has been hard with a month of smoke on my respiratory system! A have 4 swims per week over the next two, so that will help me press forward.
At least for you, the trails aren't likely limited to 1 per lane.

Well singletrack by definition is pretty much one lane in the first place....doubletrack you can go two wide :) Unlikely to see others while out on a ride unless they're part of your crew in any case....

Good to know. I hope you enjoy and get out often. Rode mine the other day to pick up some groceries.
I just might now use this for quick trips to the store....it's the hill up to my house that discouraged me....I have a choice of three routes up....one is steep, one is very steep, the other is insane.

sweet lookin' bike Lovin', ride it in good health !

railroad buddy of mine is a serious biker(mtn & road), 30 years ago he did a 'Forest Gump', woke up on a Sat morning, went out for a ride, 32 days later he ended up in San Diego, Ca. Started in Rochester , NY
I've been addicted for most of my life, with a lull between getting a driver's license and my late 20s....I don't ride the road much any more as there's no real reason to around here, altho we do have a couple nice paved forest roads that are very scenic/quiet/no traffic. I just prefer dirt. Cheating with an e-bike is okay because I'm old ;)

Went to the dark side, huh. Dunno if it's worse to e-bike or road bike?!?!?

LOL.

If you haven't seen any youtube vids of what ebikes can do, you should go check out Danny Macaskill ebike vids on youtube.

I have a couple Sondors E-bikes, rear hub drive. Nothing special, but very well priced, many upgrades available, and the do exactly what I wanted, (and got them at prices I could not pass up). I also have a road bike for those days when the trails are too wet.

That is one way I judge a good ride.....I did not see anybody else out on the trails today!

Yeah I went to the darkside. :) I'd test ridden this particular bike before, part of a would-be rental fleet of Hecklers that Covid got in the way of....

I was going to wait maybe for the next gen motor/battery, but this last weekend a friend passed at 57 and the idea of waiting longer just became somewhat meaningless.

Long time Macaskill fan, Danny loves his new Heckler, too and was an influence on my decision....for those not familiar, this is a fun one on his Heckler

In my original post above:

...that was a dig on the rules for our swimming pools during covid: 1 swimmer per lane. Where we used to be able to come and go as we wanted, and you could see 2 people splitting a lane, or 3-5 swimming counterclockwise in the busier time slots... I would swim 5 days a week
Now we have 800 people on a mailing list being notified every two weeks when signups are for ~500 1hr time slots to lap swim. Of those 800, maybe 150 are there for the other programs like aqua aerobics. I booked 9 swims over this next 16 day cycle (4 per week) and am very grateful for this good fortune. I know I am depriving others, but this is also about my health and wellness. ;)

I'm only a couple weeks out from getting everything set up, so I ordered a new home office setup, and got a few more records; Kind of Blue, Rumors, and Buena Vista Social Club.

Trying to build out a basic vinyl collection, as I'm sure I won't be using it every day. But I would take suggestions on good albums for hosting your stereotypical dinners with family/friends. I'm a big Rock fan, from its origins through modern Rock/Metal,so the blues and more regional music is somewhat new to me.

My other big project has been installing 6 of the Nest Protect smoke/CO2 detectors. Really like how they are wired (even if I had to run wires and cut in new boxes for each) and they have a night light and the connectivity. Great upgrade and if they actually last 10 years worth the cost.

I got this 180 Vinyl recently from this unknown singer and will open it this weekend. It’s regarded as one of his best albums. If anyone is interested it’s on sale:

I own 180g vinyls of the Kind of Blue and Buena Vista. I also got to see Buena Vista at theri "Adios" tour a few years back!

Oddly, both of those vinyl were actually gifts to me.

To continue my Hitchcock motif I added some postage stamps to the book and movie collection.

^^ I was a Hitchcock when I was young. I used to binge some movies on AMC or rent them. Also had those used books with stories. I also read his biography. I want the 3D one on Blu-ray just too expensive.

I had a Dr appointment that I went to and then to a Salvation Army store to see what I could pick up as far as music goes. This is before my wife passed away. I picked up the following CDs

Pretenders* - Night In My Veins (1994, Vinyl) | Discogs
