This thread is now very sad. You've all convinced me, I'm taking my Parasound amp and throwing it in the garbage, hooking the speakers back up to the Yamaha because well ever amp sounds identical, no difference.

Boy, you really are missing the point of the discussion here. And a silly statement about discarding that amp. Silly. If you enjoy it, enjoy it. No one told you you cannot enjoy it. But, you make testable claims for it and may not like the answer.

Lots of reasons to have one amp over another: looks, power, flexibility, handles difficult loads, etc.

The fool is the one who thinks he/she is immune to bias.

You guys have been attacking anyone who said there is a difference between the amp in the receiver they own and an amp they own, all day.
I wouldn't throw this amp away it absolutely, 100% destroys and kills the Yamaha amp into the dirt whether you fools want to believe it or not. I've been listening to you nuts attack anyone who dares say the stand alone amp they have sounds better than the receiver amp they have and I have had it. You people are rude and obnoxious.

You're being presented with some well documented facts on the subject and it appears to anger you. Don't let a forum do that to you man. If you hear a difference, don't care about the facts and are happy I'm perfectly fine with it. Peace brah.

Look at this entire day. All I said was I hear a difference to a big difference in sound quality between a very good stand alone amp and a receiver amp and we have pages and pages trying to convince me otherwise? Do you find that ridiculous? Why just said hey they great that you find a big difference between this amp and that? When you said you didn't find a difference did I go on and on trying to convince there was? I said I'm actually pretty surprised by the but if that's what you hear and that's your experience then that's what it is. You see a difference in tactics here?

Oh no I didn't. I said I'm surprised by that really in the morning. After 500 posts about me I used the word fools and I wasn't even directing that at you. There was another guy or two really being ridiculous. Go back and read the first page. I said I was surprised by that.

Ah, but I do know what I've heard in this journey....I'm not trying to convince you other than to perhaps open your mind and experience to explanations other than those based on simply your own informal subjective experience with a specific set of components....
