hello,
i am wondering if i can connect the JVC EXOFIELD XP-EXT1surround headphones to the second HDMI output of the 5100(all my units, much more than the jvc has connections for, are connected to the 5100 and connected with the first HDMI output to my tv) and still have sound and picture with the jvc ?
when yes, do i still have to connect the jvc hdmi output to my tv ?

You should get sound. Whether you also get video depends on that JVC.

But the CX-A5100 HDMI Output #2 will output both sound and video to that JVC.
