that sucks, I thought they said it was going to be when they had the MTV special about it. Ill wire it anyway though so it wont bother me too much. I do like that all the controllers are wireless, but buying new batteries is gonna suck

Point, Playstation. :)

PS3 controllers are rechargable out of the box.. nothing extra to buy.

Speaking of extra stuff to buy, I keep hearing that the XB360's hard drive will NOT, in fact, be packed in, but will be sold separately. What's the latest on that?

just get rechargable batteries...its pretty much the same then, just have an extra set of them and there nothing to worry about, get nickel metal hydride batteries, they're the newest type of rechargable batteries and they're fairly cheap too. i have some of them from energizer, they look like regular batteries....but they're green, black, and silver. the green is what distingiushes it from other batteries, alkaline is blue, lithium is blue, nickel recharchable is green.

From what I have read it will not have a wireless card built in. It will have a network card just not wireless. So you will have to directly jack in a cable or like I do a small patch cable to a wireless bridge and onto my wireless network.
I hope I am wrong and cant put my finger on where I read it but I did read no wireless card built in...

The Specs on that web page are misleading or out right wrong. There is no built in wireless for X360. Microsoft has already talked about the "wireless adapter" that will plug into the usb port on X360, hence no built in. If you do a google on "x360 wireless network" you will get a ton of hits on this same topic, all saying no built in. In any event X) is around the corner and all rumors will be put to an end then.

No man , good point. The offical page says Wi-fi ready.. ready is the key term. Id also save my money on there adapter and get a bridge that does not have the logo and save $$$

Online...
The Controlers are wireless and I am loving that, I know you will also have the ability to turn on the X360 remotly, its either with the controler or the mini remote or both I cant remember. A great addation so you dont have to go back to the rack and power up.

ok, but why would it plug into the usb port, would it not make more sence to plug it into the ethernet port?

Edit: After reading more it sounds like the adapter is just an antenna that pluggs into the USB.. I take it that its another easy way to pull some more $$$ out of you... The link at the end of the specs has some pics and whatnot about the adapter.

I dont know why they are doing it that way. If that is even how it ends up being. It would make much more sence to just use the ethernet port, to me anyway.

Oh and the reason for the USB is power.. no addational power source is needed for the adapter this way and less cables to junk things up.
