I use that as a gaming TV, great add
Well, I have Sony's 65" X90L already, which is no slouch either. Paid 1099.00 + taxes of course at BB. This Sony 65" B7, is sitting on my bedroom floor as of now.
Oldest Son will be here Monday to help me remove my X90L and install the B7 in my HT setup.. Did I need that B7, no I didn't. I'm still very happy with my X90L, 15 months old not one issue. My Oldest Son has that Sony B7 in a 75" got it this past May.
I picked up this 65" B7 for 999.00 + taxes,100 bucks less than what I paid for my 65" X90L over 15 months ago. B7 is brighter but not at 100% full screen use.
"Real world use" B7 is actually a little less bright at full screen, very close though. But B7 has much better blacks, higher peak brightness over 2200 nits at a % rate, has a master back light control, mini-led as opposed to full size LEDs that the X90L has, and much less blooming.
All though I myself I couldn't really see much of any blooming with my X90L. This wasn't a upgrade as much as it was a want. B7 will give me a true Dolby Vision experience. When used with a 4K player that utilizes DV which I have and a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc. Streaming services are a hit or miss. Since they all compress. Good but not as good as a 4K UHD disc though. But you know all of this though.
