A bit odd to me, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. I'm guessing this is political theatre to skirt Trump's knowledge of Epstein. I liked the comment that said 'What about Trump? He flew to Epstein's island 23 times and was buddies with him for 15 years.' The comment was downvoted 4 times, so okay that is telling me what I need to know. ;)

>>>Comer said in a post on X that the committee’s move to hold the Clintons in contempt for “willfully defying lawful and bipartisan subpoenas” sends a clear message that “no one is above the law.”

“By voting to hold the Clintons in contempt, the Committee sent a clear message: no one is above the law, and justice must be applied equally—regardless of position, pedigree, or prestige,” Comer wrote. “These bipartisan subpoenas for the Clintons were approved unanimously and issued more than five months ago as part of the Committee’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. The Clintons were legally required to appear and instead responded to our good-faith negotiations with defiance, delay, and obstruction.”<<<

Well, it looks like the hats might have worked.

Or, maybe it was the resolve of the other NATO allies to resist that lead to a TACO* response. Whatever the reason might be, I'm happy to let him declare victory and walk away. Regardless, I hope that Americans fully understand that any remaining trust there may have been in the US government - in its entirety - has been utterly shattered. There is little incentive to enter into treaties or trade deals with the US, when there is little faith that they will be honoured. I have to have faith that the American people will see the light during the next mid-term and presidential elections.
