England still had Kings during their civil wars, the French had royalty who didn't care about the people but fortunately, they hated the British so much that Franklin was able to get their support during the American Revolution and it has been said that when the French people saw that it was possible, they staged their own. Russian revolution was about the rise of Communism and even they couldn't agree on how that should go, nor could others have Lenin live, as several assassination attempts were made. That one was ugly and more violent on levels we definitely don't need or want in this country.
Most people just repeat "Taxation without representation" and "Boston Tea Party' when they talk about our revolution, but the reasons for the taxation- the Crown was trying to use taxes from the colonies to pay for wars that the colonies weren't involved and because of trade abuses- it wasn't just one thing, they'd had enough.
