As a Canadian, I feel very threatened by that remark. By its very nature, Trump's statement is an act of aggression towards Canada and could be considered as an act of war. "Economically starve Canada into submission and joining the US" is a statement of aggression no matter how you look at it. I have nothing against America as a whole. There are a few issues I see personally with the US but what country doesn't have issues? I know we in Canada have our own fare share of them. I consider a Trumpless America a country of friends and brothers but with that ahole running it, I feel very threatened.

If Congress would act as they should, this and the Constitution wouldn't be an issue but THEY have the duty to invoke the 25th Amendment and along with SCOTUS, prevent POTUS going off the rails but Congress is a clown car with balloon animals in the driver's seats.
Remember, the Constitution defines what the government CAN'T do, it's not there to tell the people what we can do.
Exactly, what would you change? We already know some of your views on 2A/guns, what would you do to the rest of the Amendments? How are the rest "not in any way fit for the modern age"?
Term limits is one of the first changes I would add. This lifelong politician crap needs to end. Also, as soon as someone in high office shows signs of impairment, as Biden and several others clearly did even before the 2020 election, they need to be examined FULLY and without concern for any political party or agenda. The political parties need to be made less powerful and they need to adhere to the balanced budget amendment. Holding the government hostage needs to end, they need to conduct elections legally and not shove a candidate out without a primary.
Our election process is a clusterflop.

The real problem is that at America's founding the French and their ideas held far too much sway with many of the Founding Fathers. That is understandable given the War of Independence.
But really the concepts of Henry Plantagenet when he conceived a house of Commons over a thousand years ago, has been much more durable and above all adaptable to the times. It also enables politics to be local, right at the grass roots level and up. The French system based on Rome, as is ours, has not been durable in other jurisdictions over time. Our law is based on English Common law and not Roman law as it is in most European countries and many others. So I say why not complete the circle and set up a system where you elect your local representative and the dominant party form the government? It is simpler, more representative and you can get rid of a rotter like Trump in a hurry. It also avoids endless election cycles and elections run six weeks, start to finish.

Any constitution is only as good as the respect it's given. Trump has clearly demonstrated that the US Constitution is a document to be circumvented when it presents an impediment to his agenda. If he announces that he will run again in 2028, I would be surprised if anyone stopped him.
