I’m happy with my bedroom system but this middle downstairs system is the one I’m not sure which speakers to use ?

How can I make something to put my tv ontop center speaker ? Or angle center upwards? It’s too low

How can I set this super fat tube tv beside my lcd tv ? What would work to put it the lcd on close to wall so door does not hit it .

Both should fit in this room side by side .

A simple listing of makes/model numbers of speakers/electronics is a lot more useful than trying to get that info from the pictures. Pictures can help with speaker positioning type issues, tho. As to the second tv, can't even imagine trying. I'd stick with the flat panel myself.

6 1/2 dual woofers isn't too helpful, and Andrew Jones has designed towers for both Pioneer and Elac ...and the pictures, particularly close-ups, are just not all that helpful... agree the surrounds speakers on top of mains isn't too useful. What amp are you using for the diy sub? Brand and model number for each piece of gear in a list fashion without the bad pictures would be better yet.

If you need two different tvs for different content I guess you'll just have to figure it out. In a small room the crt is a bit bulky...

Why are you not using the klipsch icon speakers all together? That would be better than mixing two different brands together. That's the first thing I'd do is pick where you want to use the Icons and then use them all on the same system. Don't go mixing them with other brand speakers.

If you can't mount or place the surrounds somewhere else, I'd suggest disconnecting them. They're not going to do anything good on top of your front channel speakers.

Dude, just tell us what you have for each setup. None of those pictures are helpful.

Okay questions like this, accompanied by close up pictures and images of assorted electronics with no context as to how you're set up, how big the room is, how you have everything laid out and positioned... you might as well be asking us how to make your bed then post close up pictures of your pillow, sheets and comforter. Do you see the problem? We can't help with the poor information you're providing.

Let's try something different. Pick one thing. Tell us what you have exactly, take one pic of your whole system, say from where you sit so we can see everything. Which system are you most dissatisfied with and why? For starters I'd recommend cobbling together your best speakers (matching them where you can) and power source or receiver and set them up where you'll be doing most of your listening and viewing. Then work on positioning everything so you can maximize and make it sound as good as possible. THEN... we can work on your second and/or third setups.

I had that Sony "boombox" system in my room when I was a teenager. The same unit with the two woofers and the tweeter off to the side! I loved it because it had the RCA inputs, which at that time, was very hard to get. Meaning I could hook up my PS2 to it and watch DVDs and have the audio come from the speakers. I had separated the video end of the RCA from the PS4 all the way down to the plug so that I could run the video to my TV separate from the audio. I think it cost about $300 new ($cdn) if I remember correctly and I got it for xmas!

That is super frickin cool to see them. I don't know how it would sound now, but at that time in my life, those speakers sounded awsome!

I didn't know it then , but I think that was my first step into this world. Haha, I used to take all the speakers I could find, old computer speakers, etc and splice them into the outputs of that exact boombox unit so that I could have "surround sound".

Today’s equivalent would be a entry level receiver.
Yeah I picked it out at circuit city’s my parents got it for me for x mas . The speakers still sound good , I’m trying the klipsch as fronts since that new center speaker I got is so overly loud .
I’m not sure if it matters what bookshelves I use or on pro logic most the sound goes to center channel?
Shame they don’t make them anymore , todays shelf systems are garbage .
It’s actually very clear for a shelf receiver.

Your Sony center is upside down. Flip over so the tweeter is on top.
I fixed it this receiver struggles to power the center speaker but it sounds good .

I cannot afford a better receiver right now I’m broke .

What receiver are you using now? That boom box looking unit? Calling it a receiver might be a bit of a stretch...

‘Ancient avr stereo thing
It’s a far cry from what I need down here

As you can see I’m only using its original surrounds everything else are better speakers .
It does not hold a candle to the onkyo 818 , but it’s way better then tv speakers.
