You have a strange mind my friend....@loveinthehd, lol no brother was just picking at ya a bit.![]()
LMAO!!!When pigs or donkeys fly.
Not ruling anybody out: Anthem just seems to check a few more boxes than anybody else right now. (For my wants and needs.)What about the other Canadians, NAD? Or others like Arcam? Cambridge Audio? Emotiva? Outlaw? ATI?
How much is the Anthem pre-pro?Not ruling anybody out: Anthem just seems to check a few more boxes than anybody else right now. (For my wants and needs.)
Would love to see Emotiva evolve into something a little more. Would love to see Monolith establish itself outside of the Monoprice moniker, too. Love my Outlaw products right now, but not interested in their processors. Intrigued by ATI, but again... they aren't hitting for me right now.Anthem in the closest to what I want at a price I might be willing to spend.
they trying to sell off them Polk's before they lock the doors..who knows, Marantz and Denon might be next..@Phase 2 - Speaking of Sound United, Polk LSiM is on sale for 50%. Next thing you know it'll be 80% off. Going down man.
Monoprice amps just look better than EMO amps. Not ruling anybody out: Anthem just seems to check a few more boxes than anybody else right now. (For my wants and needs.)

100% less cheese for sure.Monoprice amps just look better than EMO amps.![]()
Emotiva seems to get some nice comments but for me NAD appeals more with modularity and Dirac...pricing might be a bit better for the performance level from what I've seen of bench testing....Anthem amp sections just don't seem to be as impressive as claims either. What is it about Anthem that appeals particularly? Not ruling anybody out: Anthem just seems to check a few more boxes than anybody else right now. (For my wants and needs.)

From what I've read about ARC I'm going to assume that's where a lot of draw comes into play. That's what had me looking at them before I got my Denon.Emotiva seems to get some nice comments but for me NAD appeals more with modularity and Dirac...pricing might be a bit better for the performance level from what I've seen of bench testing....Anthem amp sections just don't seem to be as impressive as claims either. AVM60 is $3K.How much is the Anthem pre-pro?
It's not part of DEI holdings. What is it about Anthem that appeals particularly?
How the mighty have fallen. I had some Polk model 7Bs back in the early 80s and they might be the best sounding speakers I ever owned behind the DCM Time Windows that replaced them.@Phase 2 - Speaking of Sound United, Polk LSiM is on sale for 50%. Next thing you know it'll be 80% off. Going down man.
LOL.AVM60 is $3K.
It's not part of DEI holdings.Even if Issa is truly gone.
What I would like is better customization and control. especially for bass management. Marantz and Denon are very cryptic in their manuals, and dense/obtuse in their customer service personnel. I also find Audyssey limiting in what it allows me to do from a control point. (They should redo the App as $10 for what is offered now, and $20 for a much more customizable product. Including Marantz and Denon perhaps allowing for more options in speaker assignment and Amp control. (3 or 4 independent subs, for example.))
I am intellectually intrigued by Anthem and ARC. It might not solve all the problems, but right now, the grass looks greener.
Likewise, I recognize the RMC1 from Emo is flawed, but d@mn... if they got that right! Especially for a grand less! (Wishful.) But that level of control and customization is what I would like to see offered.
Translated: With full range towers, and subs for infrasonic reproduction, I would like to explore Geddes technique for setting up my room more than I think I can right now. I know I am missing some obvious things in less than a year of my Marrantz ownership, but I am not as impressed as I had hoped.
Maybe when donkeys fly with pigs riding on them. Yeah, that could happen. When pigs or donkeys fly.![]()
You've missed a couple:Oh, there's plenty of competition from the giant Yamaha company who make just about everything under the sun.

It sounds to me the amp modules are being built in China too. They just get stuffed in a box in Tennessee. This is much different than what Dan Laufman originally said 2 years ago in our interviews. To me that's NOT manufacturing in the USA. JS.Hmmmm, there is a clear distinction between the 2.
Realistically, it is just about impossible to manufacture anything with only USA sourced parts.
