5.1 mostly, but on occasion I do use 6.1 for DTS and/or DD ES/EX content.

I currently listen to movies in stereo, but would love to add these bookshelf speakers for a quadraphonic setup!

For my first post...

The answer would be 5.1, unless I win, then I would be moving up to 7.1:D

I listen in 7.2 in every thing but since it only goes up to 7.1 I`m saying 7.1

5.1 currently, but will be moving to 7.1 when I get my new pre-pro.

Currently 5.1, would like to add di-poles for 7.1 however. That or add another sub for 5.2 and then eventually 7.2. Also wouldn't mind replacing my current surrounds with 2-way bookshelves.

No experience with surround at this point

I'm currently looking at purchasing my first home theater set-up and will probably start with a 5.1 system.

Original Format

With the exception of doing some bass management, I like to listen to the format that is on the disc, which is generally 5.1. If the audio on the disc is in stereo, then stereo it is. I'm not too keen on matrixing sound to surround speakers if it wasn't there in the original track. My setup is currently 5.1, so 7.1 isn't yet an option, but I might have to add some speakers if 7.1 soundtracks become more common with Blu-Ray.
