Great Room and MBR, stereo with separate receivers is enough. Family Room and HTR are on the same floor. The HTR AV Receiver will drive both.

Secondary home theater in the familly room.

The bedroom needs at least a 2.1 system for TV, movies, music (in that order.)

We have a library (a spare bedroom with bookshelves) that would make an excellent 2-channel room for music only.

Probably not. In each case, these are isolated situations.

Family room is all about the WAF (i.e., the best speakers I can get away with)

Bedroom is again dominated by WAF.

Library is 2.0 or 2.1. Appearance not as important. Size is the only real restriction. I couldn't put huge maggies in there or anything like that.

Living room
kitchen / Dining Room, Office, Bedroom #1, #2, #3, Bathroom, and the back porch.
2.The audio in the other rooms will come from an offshoot of my main media source, computer / Internet or off of the main signal.
3.The speaker type would be an in wall speaker or a good bookshelf speaker that can be mounted to the wall. I already have the ports for the volume control and speaker. I just haven't decided what to put up.

No, the sound would come from an audio receiver dedicated for my bedroom sources (Blu-Ray/DVD/HD DVD/CD and satellite receiver).

Something that doesn't take up much real estate. In other words, bookshelf, possibly wall mounted speakers.

1. I would like to have great sound in my wife's music room. She a professional musician and currently uses a phillips micro system.

2. The music would come from a cd player in the same room. One day I'd like to transfer all our classical cd's to a media server, but I'm not ready just yet.

3. Speaker that provides natural/detailed mid range at low to medium sound levels. Also enough bass extension not to require a subwoofer. Size wise I guess bookshelves or small towers that could be powered easily.

Yes - I buy one system that is pretty good rather than multiple ones.

1. In the bedroom.

2. I am moving a dedicated system into the bedroom. I just bought an Onkyo TX-NR1007 for my main system, so my TX-DS575 would be moving into the bedroom where I just moved my 47" LCD due to new 50" plasma in the main as well.

3. I was going to purchase another set of NS-B700 for the living room as my side surround and move my Polk RT15's into the bedroom. If I get to win these speakers I could save that money and buy a better blu-ray player and use the Intimus 5DB Dipole/Bipole Surround Speakers in my main. These would work better as side surround for me in my opinion, not to mention that the black gloss finish would match the rest of my speakers.

(I do have a stateside address to have them shipped to)

I want quality sound in my bedroom. The audio would probably come from the same room, but it would be nice if I was able to hook up wirelessly to the music on my laptop. A 2.1 channel setup would be sufficient, but I would like a 5.1 system if the layout allows.
