1. Next install will be the back patio.

2. Audio could come from the main living room system, using Zone 2. Alternative possibility to use independent amp if easier install and/or provides more power/better sound.

3. Aperion outdoor speakers are leading contender, to match my existing Aperion HT system. Would like to see more info regarding the true amount of "weather resistance" in climates prone to rain and snowy winters.

1. Besides your home theater, in what other room(s) in your home do you want great sound?

Ideally, all of them, but, short-term, the living room and the master bedroom.

2. Would the audio in the secondary room(s) come from another room?

Good question. Probably not. Don't want to invest in the controls needed to do that.

3. What type of speaker system would be in the secondary room(s)?

Nice pair of bookshelf speakers, ideally.

My thoughts

1.Besides your home theater, in what other room(s) in your home do you want great sound?

This would be in my pool and bar area. I want to be able to have a great feel for the game that could be going on, but also to be able to play music and let people hear good clean sound. I don't need it to be superloud and good, just clean and crisp sound

2.Would the audio in the secondary room(s) come from another room?
No way should it come from another room. That would be muffled or not that great sound that makes people turn their heads

3.What type of speaker system would be in the secondary room(s)?

For my situation the second room should be in-ceiling that still are capable of producing some great sound. For a bar-room / pool area you want something heard but not seen. Having it as in-ceiling would also make sure that it disperseas well when you have a lot of people there

Questions

2. Would the audio in the secondary room(s) come from another room?
3. What type of speaker system would be in the secondary room(s)?

Answers
1. Office, kitchen, and bedroom.
2. I have a media server, the server is in the office however I am unsure how I would choose to provide the source to the kitchen I suppose I would use my home receiver. As far as the bedroom I would use a dvd player that is compatible with my media server if I choose to put a tv back into the room if not again most likely from the home receiver.
3. Office already have large jamo bookshelves on a small t-amp. Kitchen definitely 2 in ceiling in mono. Bedroom would depend on wether I decide to put a tv back into the bedroom. I do then either a fake surround bar or 2 channel in wall. If no TV (more likely) then 2 in ceiling a stereo configuration.
Speaker brand well in walls and ceiling would be Aperion

Contest Questions:

1. Besides your home theater, in what other room(s) in your home do you want great sound?

The kitchen/dining room. My wife and I love to cook and entertain.

2. Would the audio in the secondary room(s) come from another room?

I could set up my receivers zone 2 output to send audio in.

3. What type of speaker system would be in the secondary room(s)?

A small pair of on-walls or in-ceiling speakers would be the best fit in the kitchen itself, otherwise bookshelf speakers in the dining area.

3. Bookshelf type with decent bass LCR as the room will be small.

1. I would like an audio system for the shower and another in the bedroom
2. I like to have separate systems for each room
3. The system for the shower would need to be unobtrusive, I suppose that would mean an in ceiling speaker(s) and a control point where I can tune the radio or hook up an mp3 player. The system for the bedroom would be similar to the system in my home theater however small speakers would be better. A sound bar style would be fine or a home theater in a box would work. I usually listen at a lower volume and don't want to disturb anyone so a wide range and a sub would be unnecessary.

1. Den and living room
2. Separate systems
3. Surround would be ideal, but a good 2.1 would be fine

Entry

1. Besides my theater room, I'd like to add decent sound to my living room, kitchen, and also my bedroom.

2. Audio in the living room or kitchen would come from a system in the living room. Bedroom would have a separate system.

3. Bookshelf speakers for the living room. On wall/in wall speakers for the kitchen/bedroom.

1. A secondary HT room for wife and perhaps prospective child who may wanna play games.

2. I'd rather have each room controlled separately.

3. Comprising of bookshelves. I will move two of my Aperion 5Ds from my rather unnecessary 7.1 system to the secondary HT setup if I win the 5BDs, which will enable an efficient 7.1 system.

1)I want (and have actually) great sound in my bedroom, as well as my son's room.

2)In my bedroom it does, via zone 2 out from the AVR in the living room.

3)Large tower speaker, because I had them spare and I have the space. (Vintage Altec Lansing 846A Valencias if that matters)

1. Besides your home theater, in what other room(s) in your home do you want great sound?
All Rooms actually. Kitchen is hopefully next. Garage (toy area) is still lacking with an old system.

2. Would the audio in the secondary room(s) come from another room?
Yes. Bedroom and garage currently have separate systems. I look forward to finishing the in wall wiring for the rest of the house.

3. What type of speaker system would be in the secondary room(s)?
I have not found in walls that i like yet, thus why the kitchen is not live.
