No, unfortunately not eligible for the rebate. If I was, I'd sure like to spend it on Ht stuff!

Cheers,

Kevin

Rebate

I don't know if it's really HT gear but it defiantly affects the HT experience. I plan on buying a new sofa with my check and it will be as soon as I find a sofa I like.

Yes - likely all, and then some. I'm currently designing a new Egyptian theme basement home theater.

Looking at Panasonic or Epson Projector (1080P of course) with Carada 96" screen - not sure which series (Criterion or Precision) or Projection Screen Material to purchase quite yet. Hoping that the folks at Carada will help out there.

"How soon after receiving that check do you expect to make your purchase?"
I'll be making my purchase within 30 days.

No, unfortunately, it will have to go paying off the remainder of our property taxes, yeah!

I am planning on purchasing room treatments, speakers, sub, and maybe an amp...

Sometime in the next 3 months if all goes well.

I do not anticipate spending any of the rebate for HT, but I have a couple of months left to change my mind. If I do make a purchase, it will most likely be an AV123 subwoofer and will happen within a week of receiving the check.

I'll probally spend a fourth of my rebate on audio/video stuff, I need the rest for things like living

The room is really too small to justify a projection screen of any size

And I'll spend it as soon as I can find a good deal a garage sale
:) <--Old fashioned is best

None of it. Essentials are what we will spend it on.

Sorry.

"How soon after receiving that check do you expect to make your purchase?"

It's already owed. Sorry again.

Yep - every last bit of it and then some.

I am looking at a screen and/or masking system if masking means preping the wall properly and painting it with the right treatments. This is one of the many steps I need to take to upgrade the HT room.

"How soon after receiving that check do you expect to make your purchase?"

Within a month or so.

Sort of. I plan to use a little of it to pay some credit cards on a recent purchase.... I couldn't wait.

"If so, what components are you considering – a projection screen or masking system perhaps??"

I purchased a Blu-Ray player since my HD DVD player is now "obsolete".

"How soon after receiving that check do you expect to make your purchase?"

I'll pay when the next bill comes, and throw the rest into my savings account.

My next step is modifying my mains to be bi-ampable and then doing so.

How soon after receiving that check do you expect to make your purchase?
Way ahead of you, already spent it!

carada question

I have a new home theater I just built ( 25 ft by 28 feet ).
I plan on using all of my money that the politicians took from me on april 15 and now have decided to return $1200 of it on everything, including a screen (102 dia.). I am now reviewing pros and cons regarding different screen companies and A/V recievers.
