Im kinda shocked that tlsguy is saying si sql is not a good driver for home theater. So many reviews, gsg audio uses them, so many people. Past that what does everyone think about the new Dayton Audio SS15-22 15" Signature Series DVC? If not this has anyone tried the new ultimax v2 and how did it turn out?
That is a powerful driver, but it is following current trends. The trend is to higher sensitivity and more output and away from extreme bass extension. In my view this trend is correct.
That driver you mention looks to be a good powerful driver. The ported F3 is 29 Hz. This trend is correct as with room gain you get to 20 Hz.
My speakers are TL designs with two 10" drivers in both lines. F3 is 27 Hz calculated, but with room gain it is flat to 20 Hz, and I don't have equipment that will go past that point.
That stereo integrity you referenced does not even have an honest specification. When you try to model it Bass Box Pro, comes up with a bunch of red circles saying the numbers don't match up and are impossible. So I could not even model that piece of junk for you.
If you are going to be sensible, I will model you a serviceable and workmanlike sub from Dayton drivers.
I will be leaving shortly for Rochester MN for a prolonged and intricate procedure tomorrow.
If you are going to be sensible and and forget the bilge you read online, I can design a very serviceable and good sounding sub for you. If you are going to chase phantoms, then I'm out.
