Another low for our good friend Tucker Carlson

Ha, I was the biggest Cold Warrior imaginable until the wall came down. It is quite amusing to be accused of that now.
Please feel free to continue to spend billions on weapons and to feed the US and European bureaucrats and their pensions for a threat that is not there.
The threat lies elsewhere.

Covering two threads (Carlson & Rogan) in one swell foop.
Favorite quote: "Who is for censorship? Weak people." Kinda explains why I was banned from the 'vid thread...
Mmkay, now your using Tucker again who in this instance uses a guest from Rogan on who says basically the left's problem is hypnosis. Then Tucker says stuff like If it isn't true, prove it! What, does Tucker have a website with a forum open to debate? Because if that platform isn't available, guess what? It isn't open to debate to prove his lies. Psaki's there's more that can be done doesn't equate to banning Rogan because Tucker never provided the quote that she said Rogan should be banned. There's more that can be done might mean 'there's more that can be done to get the word out on misinformation.' After the Psaki soundbite, Tucker says Hey you little fascist pig. Again, no evidence she's a fascist pig.

I watched the show from start to finish for the first time in years. I guess I should thank you?
Stylistically:
The FOX sets are too flashy for me. I prefer more of a CSPAN format.
Definitely some personality ticks that can be annoying to some. My wife doesn't like that but she can be fussy.
Tucker trying to be the entertainer with the sarcastic commentary, etc, is not my style but it seems to work for him and since he's getting the ratings doing it, it's good business sense.
Content:
My wife is apolitical commented that given the headlines yesterday, Tucker was VERY easy on Zuckerberg.
As for the rest, I am going to assume you made a mistake here and are not being disingenuous.
You use the word, "banned" which is not what Tucker said. He used the term "Censure". Very different.
I did not hear Tucker say the word "Pig". I would go back and watch the clip you posted. Very clearly at 2.45, he says Fascist. No pig.
She's a Fascist? Well that's a word who's definition is much debated.
I can't read her mind or know what her ethos might be. But, calling for censorship is one the many features of Fascism, Communism, and National Socialism. The spokesperson of the President of the United States, using that platform to call for Big Tech to censor Joe Rogan is a disgrace. So agree with Tucker here.
I would add that to do it in front of a bunch of people who claim to be journalists who said nothing to push back is pathetic. They are "Court Enuchs" (at least the men) who should throw their journalist licenses into the Potomac.

OK. Censure. Fascist. Not pig. Any examples in the clip Tucker provides? Hypnotized etc. How are we hypnotized by Fauci? If there's covid fatigue in the general public (ie just tired of them whole darn thing), how are we hypnotized? Seems like another example of Tucker using vagueness.
Edit: do I need to watch the entire episode "to get" the meaning behind this 10 minute clip? I mean it's from Fox.

Let's leave the tremendously flawed Fauci out of this.
Tucker was referring to the segment on the Rogan show with Dr. Robert Malone. The unqualified and uncredenitaled guy who pioneered mRNA technology whose opinion we cannot listen to because he says things we disagree with . But, we should definitely listen to the opinions of idiot newscasters and the media.
As for "Mass formation psychosis" the questions we should ask ourselves are: What is it? Has it happened before? Can we learn from what happened before? Is it happening now?
What is it? Its not defined as a term in Wikipedia where unfortunately most people still look first. I am only familiar with term Mass Formation which i think is Mob Psychology so I am relating to that.
Has it happened before? I think i has. From the Salem Witch Trials, French Revolution, Bolshevik Revolution, rise of the National Socialists, on and on. I would say Mob Psychology has happened before.
Is it happening now? I don't know but it's an interesting opinion and I would like to hear more.

If there is Covid Fatigue in public?
There are some truckers in Ottawa that would like to have a word with you. You had 50,000! people violently protesting in Belgium due to Covid mandates (perspective, only 10,000 showed up for Jan 6)
Just yesterday, Monmouth University released a Poll. 70% agreed that Covid is here to stay and we just need to get on with their lives. Nothing surprising about that. What is most revealing to me is that the partisan breakdown of the poll is. 89% Repubs, 71% of Independents and 47% Dems.
If the independents feel that way, and 47% of Dems feel that way, Nov will be a bloodbath.
Tucker using vagueness? I don't watch him enough to know that. But will ask you, are Psaki and the rest of the corporate media are straight shooters? Maybe we should start a Forum on Psaki?

You're going on and on about things I never asked. Maybe the problem is the right doesn't believe in journalism and can only resort to the lowest denominator: lying. There's an avenue of investigative journalism that could actually be undertaken if the right wished to try. But they don't. Faux's primetime slots are filled with political actors, not news reporters. The Faux viewer often doesn't want journalism but to own the libs. The problems with that platform should be obvious, but if not, oh well, not my problem.

"Mass formation psychosis"/mob psychology

Think I'll listen to them idiot newscasters first.

Guess who really likes censorship - these people:
Reprehensible behaviour. My kids learned to read thanks to JK Rowling.
Ironic the Left now wants the JK Rowling cancelled for expressing an opinion right?

The burning or banning of books should be condemned by all, not just the ones you disagree with? Can we all agree on that?

Just for fun, quick question? Which side has banned or wants to ban these books: Left or Right?

Huckleberry Finn
To Kill a Mockingbird
Moby lord helmet
Dr Seuss
Of Mice and Men
Lord of the Flies
Uncle Tom's Cabin
1984
A Brave New World
The Bible
The Constitution (unless it can be twisted to fit their intentions)

The list is getting longer by the day but you can just DuckDuckGo it with the preface, books school districts what to ban. Its not just religious zealots.

I could also do Films that can no longer be made for extra points.
I'll give you my first two: Animal House, Blazing Saddles,
Pretty soon they will start messing with Star Wars lore....oh, sorry, that happened.

More Popcorn please!

I don't know about where you live, but they aren't banned here, as far as I know. There may be some that are no longer taught in schools - not something I've looked into or heard about, but there certainly aren't any book burnings.

I agree that it's over the top how Rowling is being pilloried.

I'm not claiming that there aren't any calls for censorship or banning on the left, just noting the hypocrisy of

The book burners are obviously weak people in favor of censorship, kind of making Carlson's (and mine, truth be told) point. How is that hypocritical?

It's not so much that Malone says things that we disagree with - it's that he's said things that are demonstrably false.

I think we both know who Tucker is referring to as "weak", and it's not his right-wing viewership.

According to Wikipedia? Hahahahaha. Oh man, that is rich!
While Wikipedia is not a reference for a scholarly report, it's pretty handy at times like this. The entry includes references supporting it's profile of Malone.
