Our only large format screen was just a few blocks from my work, but they tore it down about 10 years ago to put in a new ride a the theme park. The ones that are left are domes, maybe 3 or 4 in the area.
I am in the process of re-watching The Northman. I think the main reason I hated it the FIRST time around was because I didn't understand it.I just re-watched the Northman. Such a great movie!
NEXT next lol.Looks like Eggers’ next movie will be Werwulf.

Robert Eggers Set For ‘Labyrinth’ Sequel At TriStar
Robert Eggers has closed his deal to write and direct a 'Labyrinth' sequel for TriStar and The Jim Henson Company, Deadline has learned.deadline.com
Labyrinth was Jim Henson. Music by David Bowie, but it is a bit dated now lol. So yes, a bit of a musical, but not a Disney like musical. I like that movie.I love Vampires - Check (Nosferatu 2024)
Werewolves - Check (Werwulf 2026)
Witches - Check (The Witch 2015)
Vikings - Check (The Northman)
I don't know about "The Lighthouse". I read that it's supposed to be about Prometheus and Proteus, but I just see 2 guys going CRAZY.
I never saw "Labyrinth", but I heard that it's a Musical Fantasy movie, and I usually hate musicals. So not so sure about a musical sequel.![]()

Bowie as a villian/antagonist and a very young Jennifer Conelly as the heroin - along with a whole bunch of henson muppet-style characters. It's good, but it's definitely aimed at a younger/teen audience of the time. It has been a while since I've watched it, but I don't recall it being a full musical - more just some musical interludes spread out along the way.Labyrinth was Jim Henson. The Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal are crazy ass movies. Haha. I remember watching them as a kid. Then throw in the The Never ending Story. I feel like a lot of "kids" movies back in the late 80's early 90's used a lot puppets. You won't see that kind of stuff made today. That's for sure.Labyrinth was Jim Henson. Lighthouse was a pretty nuts. The performances are good, but it is just the two of them in the lighthouse the whole time, as they descend into the craziness.
Labyrinth 4k is the best that one has ever looked, but it is not perfect. No doubt that is just because the master is like that, so it is true to the source. The new Atmos track is pretty good improvement though. The Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal are crazy ass movies. Haha. I remember watching them as a kid. Then throw in the The Never ending Story. Lighthouse was crazy good. I loved that Eggers used vintage lenses on the camera and went black and white for picture. While using a 1.19:1 aspect ratio. To give the viewers a sense of confinement.![]()
I purchased both a couple years ago, but haven’t watched yet. They’re on my long ass list of 4k’s to watch.Labyrinth 4k is the best that one has ever looked, but it is not perfect. Dark Crystal 4K though, the video is a vast improvement and the Atmos track is pretty impressive for a film this old.
I was surprised when I realized Eastwood was director. Isn’t he like 100 YR old?Watched Juror #2 on Max last night. Was a solid Eastwood movie. I won't say too much about it, since I don't want to spoil anything. If you're a fan of Eastwood as just a Director (no acting from him in this one) then I think you'll enjoy this one. I'm giving a 7/10.
Haha, 95 years young. Still going strong. I think he has 1 great western still up his sleeve!I was surprised when I realized Eastwood was director. Isn’t he like 100 YR old?![]()
Yeah, that brought back some scary memories of the Oklahoma bombing when I saw that part.Watched The Order last night. Pretty decent film. Pretty scary too that the book referenced in there was used for the Oklahoma bombing and the Jan 6 insurrection.
