if this comes out on HD right here right now. I'm jumping in the HD bandwagon.
No bass at my theater either... I was blaming the cinema itself, not the film. The film was very soft (could have been that massive screen), there was absolutely no bass, and although I did notice some surround sound, it was strictly behind us...... I'm not sure to blame the local theater, or the film/transfer itself.
Surround was a little weak, I also thought the bass was "eh" .Ok so I have it, and there is some bass. I haven't seen all of it yet (had to go to work) but tomorrow I will run it full tilt front to back.
Complaints: Picture looks a little grainy. Haven't listened hard enough to look for surround usage.

Really? My IMAX experience for this movie BLEW. Must've been where I was sitting, because I didn't hear ANY bass.I just picked it up on the way into work. I'll watch it tonight after I tuck in the rest of the family.
I originally saw in in IMAX. Huge screen, huge sound, so I already now the theatre won't match my experience. The movie still rocked though.

Dude you hit the nail on the head! The pic is flat out grainy, and was not as impressive as I thougt it was going to be. I must say that it was not as good as I remembered it in IMAX. Still it's a very cool flick, but I was expecting more. I loved the part with the elephants though that was baddaass!Ok so I have it, and there is some bass.
